2023 Division Series
They knew they'd never be in the ballpark of what we got from Philly. The Sox are a top 5 most pathetic franchise in the MLB. The market is what it is for the best players and Reinsdorf simply doesnt even compete and stubbornly sticks to his guns. Couple that with inadequate resources on the farm and it's a recipe for disaster. Go D'backs.

2024 MLB Draft Order (Reverse Standings)
Luis Robert is a fine ballplayer and about as cant miss as it gets. In my opinion he would be doing well in any organization (perhaps even better somewhere like Atlanta) so I'm not about ready to give the Sox credit for his development. I just feel like the list of failures is much larger than successes anyway. For example, how have we been doing with Andrew Dalquist and Matthew Thompson, 2 HS pitchers I think everyone was pretty excited about. Their stats look terrible and they walk too many batters. These guys should be at the point now where they are making waves in our system given their draft status and one isnt even in our top 30. Anyone can develop cant miss talent but it's what you do on the margins that matters and the Sox simply dont and it's why we have a bottom 10 farm.

2024 MLB Draft Order (Reverse Standings)
Are you trying to tell me they are getting better at it or just drafted some talented high schoolers? Believe me I'm happy they are trying but nothing about the talent development in this organization screams to me that they will be anything more than a detractor to these talented youngsters.

2024 MLB Draft Order (Reverse Standings)
Is anyone actually excited about picking 3rd or 4th? Normally I'd be pretty happy to add an elite prospect but our farm sucks so much and the future seems so hopeless that not even this matters. They'll just go with a "safe" college bat like Vaughn because they know they can't develop high schoolers for s%*#.

The press conference thread
That Jerry wont be giving Getz any more funds or leeway for building a real minor league system and that he will be just as hamstrung as Hahn/KW may have been.
-
Fire Rick Hahn
Damn I always thought of this thread as the all too wishful thinking thread in perpetuity. Yet here we are. This thread can actually be closed.

KW/Hahn - They Gone
I sort of feel bad for Getz. I think he was just given a job he had no business doing and now hes "part of the problem". Oh well he probably got paid well at least.

Blow it the F Up
We are in the worst case scenario. -Our previous leader Abreu couldn't wait to leave, 3 years after saying hed sign pretty much any contract to stay. -Our GM who has said would quit if he thought he wasnt the guy for the job, clearly still thinks hes the guy for the job. Ownership too loyal to cut the cord. KW likely has checked out and is picking up free paychecks for his title, reaping rewards of overly loyal ownership. - Managerial changes too often. I honestly can't get mad at Grifol. He may stink, but the problems go far deeper than him. -Rotten clubhouse that does not win and lose together or seemingly take ownership of the fate of this franchise. Is this TAs fault? It does not seem that he is a natural born leader and couple that with the TLR years, our clubhouse is just toxic to winning at this point. Someone tried to have some fun though and made that cool HR costume. -Our best contract ever given is to basically another Adam Eaton. Lose out or dont even try for the actual top talent. - Publicly telling one of your best pitchers you are not going to keep him or even try. Yes he may have left anyway but imagine the message it sends to the rest of the league. Why play for us? Especially if you are a union rep... look at how miserable AJ Pollack was here. - During all of the bad years, save for the LaRoche drama, I could usually say that I really like the players and know they try hard. I cannot say the same for this group. They look miserable and unfun. - We are stuck with terrible, antiquated ownership that has allowed this toxic situation to happen. Theres literally nothing we can do except wait it out, whatever it is, and I hope it ends with someone not named Reinsdorf running the show. Until then frankly enjoy a team that gives a s%*#. The Ray's are a nice neutral team to us with no hatred or rivalry but a great organization who can bring actual enjoyable baseball to people. Or be like me and partake in other hobbies or sources of entertainment. I hate this franchise. Why am I still here?

Red Sox @ White Sox 6/24/23 3:10pm
My tinfoil theory is TA stopped hitting Homer's because he didnt want anymore spaghetti from his wife.
-
Red Sox @ White Sox 6/24/23 3:10pm
When did they start putting TA at 2nd? Big move.
-
Ohtani
I hate this franchise.

And That's a White Sox 4-2 Winner !
Gio looked like he was pitching with a purpose. Show these idiots in our FO/ownership a thing I guess.

2021 NHL Thread
Wow how lucky is that. I thought for sure all of the bad karma and juju around this organization would have squashed this possibility. Probably rigged.
-
4/28 - Tampa Bay Rays @ Chicago White Sox 6:10 PM CDT, Reinsdorf TV and Berto Radio Network
Lmao at the Ray's being mad at the shitty ass Sox for any stupid reason. You're probably going to sweep up. Get the f*** over it. Also lmao the Sox feel they should celebrate anything especially meaningless HRs. Cool outfit tho.

4/26 Sox @ Toronto 12:07
The organization has failed these players. Robert on almost any other team that has accountability would be a competent hitter who doesnt just luck into a bomb now and then.
-
4/26 Sox @ Toronto 12:07
This is purgatory my friend. Firing anyone wont help, someone worse will be brought in. The players are all broken and dont care. Best case scenario is to literally just have a historically awful season and be the laughingstock of MLB so that every single person in this organization can have their egos and pride irreparably broken as well. That at least may provide us a small chance of selling before JR dies.
-
Fire Rick Hahn
Theres nothing to defend anymore. Even the best of the loyalists cant defend this team who looks to be historically bad.

Do you still get pleasure out of rooting for a particular sports team?
This franchise blows chunks and I have very little faith in the players who look like they dont give a s%*# half of the time. Tim Anderson turned into a b**** on the field who complains too much, Robert Jr is the worst good player I've seen in awhile, Moncada the 2nd worst good player, and dont get me started on the fucking pitching. Used to be we could rally around the players even when management and ownership pissed us off. Now I kind of despise our players too and who can blame them for being who they are with the blatant lack of accountability in this organization. I check highlights every day but that's about it. Was thinking about going to a game when I visit in July but what's the point? None of them care so why should I? White Sox baseball can be very entertaining but I have other avenues of entertainment if these losers decide to be boring.

Sox @ Rays: 540CT - Kopech vs. Faucher: The Turnaround Starts Now
Wow this team could legit be done for the year if TB takes care of business. Odds looked stacked against us. Therefore we will win the series.
-
The Pedro Hire
I mean at this point I'd take the Rick Renteria Sox. They at least looked like they gave a s%*#.

Phillies at White Sox GM 3 Serieswinner of Doom (Clevinger vs. Walker)
Bad team is bad.
-
4/15 GT - Orioles at Sox (1:10pm)
What a pathetic effort. Not even competetive from Luis and Eloy. Just letting a junk baller throw nothing but junk and get away with it.
-
4/15 GT - Orioles at Sox (1:10pm)
He needs to start taking pitches and doing some zone hitting at some point in his career.

4/15 GT - Orioles at Sox (1:10pm)
Yeah it looks like hes really earned an extended look. We need his power in this lineup.
