I'd be happy to call the injuries an outlier if we didn't deal with the same exact shit last year. Something is totally wrong and nothing is doing anything about it. Can't even run to first base without getting hurt. I'm out of shape and getting older and I can run all out without getting hurt. What the fuck?

This team is awful. They've taken on the personality of their manager. We fired Rick Renteria for this.... -

Yawn Moncada Send him back to Charlotte. Hes mot even competitive. -
What a fucking lunatic. Sports is a fun thing to consume but there is very little anymore in Chicago to keep anyone interested. Bears, Hawks, Sux and Bulls are all run by a complete jokes of ownership groups and frankly do not deserve anyone's attention anymore.

Konerko's "Big Slump" of 2002-2003
Southwest Sider replied to Greg Hibbard's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I was at a game where I believe he busted out of that slump against the Twins. Believe he was the last batter we had before the Twins were about to win the game so obviously everyone in the stadium thought it was over. Turns out he hit a big HR to tie it and Frank won it later on a walk off bomb. Heck yeah. -

Real baseball players are still competitive in ABs even if they have a nagging injury and the guys with the least talent in the league still find a way to hit over .200. I'm pretty much done with the guy, I've never seen a guy with so much talent just suck absolute donkey balls. It's shameful. Yaz has a built in "age" excuse but even his level of suck is amazing. -

This team reminds me of a thread from the early 2000s on this website. Shit I am getting old. -

You guys are still watching? -
I honestly dont like this team/organization as a group right now, we have some nice players but at this point the constant injuries cannot just be bad luck or what we were due to have happen in the post Herm Schneider era. Players are underperforming their potential by a significant amount. It's actually kind of alarming how bad it is, and this season is already getting to the point where instead of looking forward to better luck and players playing better, you start to wonder if they will just basically continue being a .500 club Supported by great pitching. I wouldn't be opposed to a rebuild again as a lot of the assets we have would get significant prospects but only under the new ownership condition which is not happening. I guess we just gotta hope that everyone gets healthy and this team melts faces for a few months.

Old Sock Drawer, ex Sox player discussion
Southwest Sider replied to elrockinMT's topic in The Diamond Club
This organization should be embarrassed and is utter trash if Pilkington turns into a good MLB player. -
Back to unwatchable I guess. Sucks to see Boston has so many guys putting up good numbers and almost all of our best guys are all basically hitting .200 or less.

Man didn't Leury used to be at least a semi competent hitter? Mid to high .200s average? What the heck happened to this guy? -
