That’s a fair point, but if Fields is even decent he should stick at starter. If he struggles, everyone will know it, including him, and it should make sense to go back to Dalton is he’s really that bad. Fields being good solves all these issues

My problem with the Bears statements is what seems like this backroom promise to Dalton they can’t break. Andy Dalton has been fine in his very short time with the Bears. But the Bears don’t owe him anything. They’ve invested a ton into Fields. Clearly they feel like it’s time for Fields to play, rather than Foles, who is now the No. 2. I think that’s the right call. My point all along has been simply saying “Justin Fields is going to get the start Sunday. Whenever Andy comes back, we’re going to examine how the play of our QB’s have been up to that point and make a decision.” Is simple and should keep everyone happy. Instead it’s “When Andy is healthy he is our starting QB.” Why? What if Fields has three straight weeks of 300 yard, 3 TD’s games? Is Dalton going to be your starter in Week 6? My guess is “Hell no” so then why make that statement now?

Just answer this question. Since you've been here, I'd estimate 90% of your posts have been about how this team sucks, how they won't advance in the playoffs, and arguing with anyone who disagrees with you. So the question is....why are you here? Why are you taking time out of your day to post on a White Sox message board, a team you think isn't very good and isn't going to do anything in the postseason? Why are you spending time here?

I really haven't given the Sox a ton of attention on a nightly basis.....but it's hard to ignore this team is going through more than just "the dog days" at this point. They really do seem to be limping to the finish line, and I have serious questions if they can just flip the switch.

Am I crazy to say that I kind of agree with Nagy here? Preparing for Fields vs. preparing for Dalton as a defense is two totally different things, so why let the opponent know on Monday who is starting? It's a small advantage you have to play with. I know the media and fans won't like it, but I get it.

And by the way, when you say "today" in this regard... So it's not like vaccine mandates are some new concept. The problem is social media wasn't a thing in 1977.

You put together some really good stats and info that tell a very interesting story. At the end of a long season, I'm sure guys like that are always looking for new angles or a potential story. You should DM him with some of the numbers you posted, and just ask him if he can look into it more with some of the responsible parties involved. My bet is you get a response.

Reading, researching, learning and bettering yourself only works if you're actually spending time consuming valuable content. It's your same argument on science. "ASKING QUESTIONS AND CHALLENGING NORMS IS WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING!!11" You could spend your time reading, researching and learning on QAnon message boards. Does that make you a more informed, better person? I know, we're all sheep because we aren't curious about things.
