  1. Am I crazy to say that I kind of agree with Nagy here? Preparing for Fields vs. preparing for Dalton as a defense is two totally different things, so why let the opponent know on Monday who is starting? It's a small advantage you have to play with. I know the media and fans won't like it, but I get it.

And by the way, when you say "today" in this regard... So it's not like vaccine mandates are some new concept. The problem is social media wasn't a thing in 1977.
  4. You put together some really good stats and info that tell a very interesting story. At the end of a long season, I'm sure guys like that are always looking for new angles or a potential story. You should DM him with some of the numbers you posted, and just ask him if he can look into it more with some of the responsible parties involved. My bet is you get a response.

So I challenge you on your points, the guy that is telling us he's smarter than all of us...and your response is to de-activate your account. Got it.
  6. You should tweet or DM Fegan, see if he can't ask the question to TLR or Menechino.

And your solution to this is....free gyms. No mention of the food deserts that plague low-income areas, or that generally speaking a hamburger from Wendy's costs .99 cents but a salad may cost $10.99. But yes, free gyms will solve our issues. Must have come with that idea during all that reading.

Reading, researching, learning and bettering yourself only works if you're actually spending time consuming valuable content. It's your same argument on science. "ASKING QUESTIONS AND CHALLENGING NORMS IS WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING!!11" You could spend your time reading, researching and learning on QAnon message boards. Does that make you a more informed, better person? I know, we're all sheep because we aren't curious about things. You were the same guy that had a back and forth with me about real estate companies and technologies because after the first time you bought a house, all the sudden you were an expert. Doesn't matter if my family has decades of experience and knows the industry, because you were exposed to it, now you're qualified to challenge people that have studied the field their entire lives. You're an SNL character.
  9. Now do Kelenic ?

Calling it like it is. Have ZERO sympathy here. None.

I’m not going to respond to the idiot….I’m not going to respond to the idiot….I’m not going to respond to the idiot. Phew, that was close.

But according to you, we should always be questioning things. That's science, according to you. So is obesity really the cause of these deaths? Maybe being obese is healthy and it's all chemicals they put in the food that makes us sick and die. WE NEED TO QUESTION THESE THINGS... (See, that's not science, no matter how much you want it to be)
  13. As you mentioned, this is the worst he's ever hit. History would then tell us he'll snap out of this somewhat soon. Ideally that's during the playoffs. After that, they can decide what they want to do with him in the offseason. But it's not like he's been costing them important games down the stretch here..
  14. Very weird. Maybe just a really bad streak/stretch, but the numbers don't really lie here. Just been a bad pickup thus far.

The sheer tonnage of bullshit in this post could sink a cruise liner. I say with no hyperbole that I really don't even know where to start with this, but I'll give it the old college try as I'm sitting in the airport killing time. That...isn't science. There is a large difference between the scientific study by someone or a group of people......and a group of people going to feed stores putting horse paste on crackers because they don't "trust" the media but will trust the guy down the street who he follows on Facebook that posts wacky meme's. You of course are painting with an incredibly broad brush which really accomplishes nothing in this case. Who here has said they totally trust the media, totally trust the government? Who's making that argument? But not having full faith in those two institutions doesn't then mean every single person in the media or every single person in politics is lying. From the data I've gathered from sources I trust, I made the determination the vaccine was by far the safest way to protect myself and those around me. That doesn't make me a "sheep." It makes the people not getting the vaccine because "they don't like being told what to do" assholes. Everyone has the freedom to make their own decisions. That doesn't make them right.
  16. Seriously, this one really hurts. I was watching Norm clips LAST NIGHT(him doing his Nixon talking about hearing devices…AND WIGS” God he was funny. What a loss.
  17. Which is why I don't think Rodon's contract is going to be that massive, and why I think there is a better shot than most think that he stays. It's for those very reasons. * I should add if I was putting money down, I would probably bet against him coming back. I'm not saying it's just this slam dunk he returns. I just think the probability of him coming back is higher than most here feel.
  18. I didn't re-signing Rodon is what I would do. But knowing the Sox, having drafted Rodon, and knowing Jerry's loyalty, especially to players that have had success in a White Sox uniform..........I'm not discounting that the Sox don't bring him back if there is a deep October run. Boras or not, I think some of the FO will have a hard time seeing him walk away after all the fruits of their labor finally paid off, then he goes somewhere else. We'll see.
  19. I totally agree. Season is just too long, and with football back as well, every casual fans picks MLB back up in the playoffs. Cut the season down to like 130 games. I'd even love 100 but that won't happen. Additionally, the lead the Sox have built up...I've found myself watching about 2 games over the last three weeks. I know what's going on, stay up to date on everything....but with the rotating IL spots this team is featuring lately and just the lack of urgency (which I understand), it just doesn't give me a lot of reason to watch. I'm incredibly excited about October and think this team has a great shot.....but these September games are tough to get up for.
  20. I'm not convinced that's true, at all. Say the Sox make a long playoff run. Say they win the World Series and Rodon is the ace during the playoffs, pulls a Bumgarner. While that will earn him more money on the open market, I also could very easily see Jerry and the brass making sure that World Series "hero" doesn't walk away for nothing.... A lot will have to do with this teams performance in October.
  21. Right?!?!? There are always those people, the moment after the team wins the World Series, thinking "BUT WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT NEXT SEASON NOW?!?" We're fans. Enjoy the ride a little bit.

It's fairly straightforward. https://www.kff.org/coronavirus-covid-19/poll-finding/kff-covid-19-vaccine-monitor-profile-of-the-unvaccinated/ These figures are from June 2021 so a little dated, but only by a few months. This was a poll done by NBC in late August as well: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/meet-the-press/nbc-news-poll-shows-demographic-breakdown-vaccinated-u-s-n1277514 It seems like the "bigoted" idea of saying "Trump supporters are dumb and won't get the vax" checks out....
