EVERYONE is picking up this Sox/Desmond thing. Would be shocked if we don't see a "White Sox & Desmond are close" report before tomorrow.

Sounds stupid but the fact that Hayes is confirming it & Merkin confirmed interest in both he & Fowler last night tells me that something is close.

Herman reporting that the Sox are "Seriously considered making a big run at Ian Desmond". Said he thinks he's a great fit & talks like it will be more than 1 year.

Per Buster Onley: The Orioles have interest in Dexter Fowler in the range of Howie Kendrick's deal with the Dodgers -- 2 years, $20 million. Sure seems like market is heating up a bit for Fowler. Been a few things mentioned on him in the past few days.

Per Rosenthal: Sources: Fowler possible for #Orioles if they complete Gallardo deal. Would be willing to part with second pick, currently No. 29.

Apparently my post wasn't very well written. My entire point was that if they could sign Fowler for that deal it would have been done.
