  1. Merrifield caught him on a first pitch fastball. Other than thar he’s looked OK. Not great, but OK.
  2. Shut up and make me some chili..... simpler times..
  3. I don’t give a shit what happened. There’s have been a handful, at most, of changes to the rulebook since he last retired. Either wake up or go sleep in your car while the grown ups work.
  4. We fired a guy who was outstanding in the clubhouse and bad on the diamond. The expectations was that we needed a better tactician. Only a fool thinks that has gone well.
  5. Our Hall of Fame person didn’t make an egregious decision to hurt our chances to win the game in the past 24 hours. Call it a win, brother.
  6. Why do I hear the theme song from Dawson’s creek playing?
  7. How did ol’ JR go about getting his shiny new stadium? It’s the envy of the league, too. As for the game, look...Sox didn’t hit. But regardless, they were in the game. It was 0-0, if you recall. These are the games where a manager earns their money in terms of being chess players. Any dummy can manage a 9-0 game. He botched it. Period.
  8. Against a RHP in that massive OF, I have a hard time disagreeing. But all in all, I’m not going to get upset over this lineup Let’s go get’em.
  9. I’m guessing the double negative at the beginning was an accident? Although if it was on purpose I’d agree with him. It’s possible he doesn’t think spending money is a smart investment simply because they’ve...made poor investments? I guess none of it really matters, as he has the ultimate say. I just personally disagree that his approach is the best at cultivating a strong fanbase/revenues.
  10. Agreed profits are the goal, but it isn’t as though profits and winning are mutually exclusive. If the decision to hire La Russa for personal reasons damages the direction of the franchise, that’s obviously not good for anybody.
  11. McRae was sent to Charlotte with no corresponding move announced. Didn’t know where to put this as it doesn’t merit its own thread, but could conceivably be Goodwin if he’s added to the 40 man. Probably means Crochet is good to go, though.
  12. Pujols to Sox official
  13. TLR to the 10 day IL with a full tear of his brain stem. He’ll be reevaluated tomorrow.
  14. I have a hunch he won’t be dhing
  15. I was paraphrasing. Here is the quote: I did look at it, and I was paying attention during the game,” La Russa said. “I want you to understand when it's over, we didn't make a mistake or anything because I was falling asleep or anything. https://www.audacy.com/670thescore/sports/chicago-white-sox/tony-la-russa-defend-process-white-sox-took-choosing-ride-lucas-giolito
  16. Anyone find it funny how TLR said he’s watching the games and not sleeping in the dugout? The fact he had to reassure the media and fanbase of this fact is...not good.
  17. Robert still stealing Eloy’s thunder. Remember the Seinfeld when George gets a toupee and he’s filled with newfound happiness and optimism. That was 2020 Sox. Now remember when Elaine threw his toupee out the window and he was almost relieved to be insecure, miserable, “like a bald again?” That has been 2021 Sox. I feel like a Sox fan again.
  18. What are they now? Been a few years since I’ve made the trip to Chicago. Was supposed to go 2019 but cancelled after the machado fiasco and went to Cuba instead lol.
  19. Yep. The FBI got involved and everything. Somehow he only got suspended for a week.
