QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Nov 16, 2016 -> 12:33 PM) Did any ticket holder NOT get the renewal letter/package? I havent gotten mine yet. I haven't received anything yet but I did get a call from the ticket office yesterday so I believe the packages/info should be sent out/made available shortly.

October 26, 2005
I was 15 and I remember listening to Rooney's call with the sound muted on the TV and just a giant grin went across my face and it felt like a giant weight was lifted off of me at the moment and Uribe throws across the diamond. A phenomenal feeling (and torture just for being so stressed for a month) that I'd love feel again.

Kenny Williams Leaving?
QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 04:58 PM) https://twitter.com/gaslampball/status/789221680820334592 Absolutely no idea if this is anything, but this Padres blogger has over 7K followers. Was there some sort of baseball related event there today to give him a reason to be there?

2017 MLB DRAFT
QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ Oct 6, 2016 -> 03:33 PM) Is the 12th pick protected? Meaning could Hahn sign a free agent who was tendered a qualifying offer without losing the pick. No it's not, Top 10 are protected so the Sox just fell short of that.

White Sox Listening on Sale
How about we get back to discussing baseball? Sounds good to anyone else? I love seeing when there's new posts but hate when I have to shuffle through posters just bantering with one another back and forth that they are right and the other is wrong (although the banter may have started on the topic, recently none of it has been ending there, just saying).

White Sox Listening on Sale
QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 11:10 AM) That's the whole problem with your argument, your "if" statement. I will guarantee the Sox have a worse record next year if they trade Sale and start the rebuilding process this offseason. And if you don't think people come out to watch Chris Sale, then why were so many people upset and disappointed when Sale was a late scratch as a result of his suspension for ripping up the throwback jerseys? They should have been just as satisfied to watch Matt Albers start right? I think the Sox even won that game. For one, and speaking only for myself, I was at that game and out in the parking lot once I got the alert that Sale was sratched. Once I found out the details of what actually happened I was disappointed that Sale wasn't traded and was scratched because of an idiotic act like going all Zorro on the team's throwbacks. And yeah, your guarantee is nice angle to take since "if" the sox trade Sale it would essentially signal a "rebuild", therefore the performance of the team overall would probably be worse considering the Ace of the staff had just been traded.

2017 Lineup
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Sep 10, 2016 -> 11:11 AM) I'm convinced you are Kenny Williams. Seriously, I can't think of a single poster who's been more gung-ho on the "retool train" because, like every other year, we're only a few pieces away from "contention".

Jon Heyman: Sox have little interest in moving Sale or Quintana
QUOTE (captain54 @ Sep 8, 2016 -> 05:54 PM) True, you've provided specific names.. but you've also predicated most of your scenarios on the fact the JR woke up from a dream and a vision one night, a vision where he magically and mystically increased Sox payroll from middling, at least upper middling… Here's my plan.. I think YOU should be the GM .. screw Hahn, screw Kenny.. you're the man with the plan to take the Sox to the promised land… to walk the disgruntled and miserable fandom from the darkness... It's funny how you're challenging people for names and specifics, when the folks who are actually being paid to make the deals, probably aren't even sure at this point what is and isn't on the table…. My Plan? Let's see the Sox let go of the fact that they are Kings of Baseball when it comes to having the sweetest cost controlled players in MLB…. Then, let's see the Sox make some SERIOUS efforts to get the best and I mean, best in the biz.. scouts and talent evaluators…. Then, let's make Kenny Williams accountable for every dumb silly ego driven football-type move he's ever made.. and ever dumb silly thing he's ever said… Let's find a manager who didn't play for the Sox (Martinez being the possible exception) in the 80's, 90's or 00's.. who actually has some professional coaching or managerial experience… Let's figure out what exactly Don Cooper is contributing to the organization at this point, and if there's another out there better….. Let's find a hitting coach that absolutely refuses to let a player pick up a bat until that player has a plan against the given pitcher that day… And of course, as a priority, lets AGRESSIVELY shop both Sale and Quinana this offseason .. no, not mid season 2017.. THIS OFFSEASON.. and work from there.. the goal being an influx of properly evaluated young AND more established talent… I couldn't agree more with the points you've touched on here. I can't take anymore of trying the same thing time after time and expecting a different result. It would be extremely refreshing to have a different approach to organizational processes and valuations that FINALLY start putting emphasis on areas the sox have been sorely lacking for quite a while now. I know watching games if a rebuild occurs may be tough for some seasons, but this "retool" charade that's been going on is just as tough to watch.

We should do some polls to pass the time and vent
I had to choose all of the above. While I'm still happy when they win and watching the progression of some of the younger players is encouraging, watching the same dumpster fire year after year with the same issues has taken it's toll.

8/16 Games
QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 17, 2016 -> 10:53 AM) Yeah it has been a bit strange but maybe they have a defensive instructor in GF that they like to work with Fisher first. That could make some sense because it seems that his bat has nothing left to prove in GF anymore, maybe someone blocking him in Kanny is another reason, but I'd like to see him get some time in Kanny before the year is up.

Dave Kaplan reports Kenny Williams holding back Rick Hahn
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 16, 2016 -> 12:58 PM) Wonder if he got that information from a phenomenal source? In all seriousness, I don't think that bit of a info would surprise anyone. Yeah not very surprising one bit, flat out disheartening that this is STILL the case. Can't make up their minds about a direction for the team and get caught with their hands down their pants at the deadline yet again.

Carlos Gomez DFA'd
Yeah while probably not ideal, if picking up Gomez meant seeing less or the end of JB Shuck playing for the White Sox I'm all for it.
