Ken Rosenthal: Trade Deadline Will be Insane
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 26, 2017 -> 02:11 PM) You deserve a spot on a political campaign the way you are taking things out of context and spinning the into something else completely different that isn't being said. So much of this post is just flat out wrong, as are every other post where you try to apply a few posts into full encompassing expectations, and then on top of that assign them some sort of value to reality. I am not sure why you keep lashing out at everyone who disagrees with you, and then posting lies to try to make it valid. If it's true to politics I believe they are called "alternative facts".

Teams have upped their offers in Q derby in the last week
QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 03:54 PM) If all the Sox players have big seasons they won't be a bad team and there will be no deadline selling. If anything they'll buy. This won't be the Yankees last year, not with Ken Williams around. Then you'll get all sorts of nonsense like a big Frazier extension and selling the farm for aging sluggers. I don't trust the same FO that made the Shield's trade to not overreact fo a hot month or two. This is just getting sad now...

Teams have upped their offers in Q derby in the last week
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 17, 2017 -> 10:39 AM) It's not that. Solid article actually. Basically just said Hahn wrecked the market with his outstanding deals. Never blamed him. Ok thanks for clearing it up!

Teams have upped their offers in Q derby in the last week
Rick Hahn to Blame for Q market stalling out? This is from The Athletic, I don't have a subscription so I can't read anything past the first paragraph, but looks like potential blame shifting to RH taking too long to make a deal piece (basing that on context clues).

QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 02:40 PM) That was the Bruce-iest article by Bruce Levine that I have ever read. It touches all the bases. Well at least it's "new", but yeah it's basically everything we've discussed numerous times already over two separate threads.

Micah Johnson DFA
QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Jan 11, 2017 -> 05:18 PM) Sox are going to be just throwing away AB's in the corner OF on total bums woh are longshots to even prove they are capable of being reserves. Right now Trayce Thompson is a capable fourth OF with potential to be an average starter...he'd be a much better candidate to give 600 PA's to this year than Willy Garcia or Rymer Liriano. Also, Trayce is under control for five more years. Montas still throws triple digits and would be a fine candidate to get some bullpen innings. I doubt the White Sox would trade Frazier for Montas straight up right now. Trayce's back is already going to keep him from beginning ST on time and he missed basically the entire second half of last season due to back issues. To honestly believe at this point he's going to be healthy enough to get 600 PAs next season is pretty out there. Montas throws hard but it doesn't do you any good if you can't stay on the field to throw that hard. And I fixed your last sentence for you too.

Micah Johnson DFA
QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Jan 11, 2017 -> 05:04 PM) I would take that Frazier trade back in a heartbeat. I know Frazier under-performed last year but you'd rather have a bad AAAA (at best) IF, a oft injured RP and an OF with a bad back and injury issues of his own? No thanks. The Sox sold high on all three of those players, and as the saying goes, it's better to trade a player(s) a year too early rather than a year too late.
