Sleepy Harold

The translate option on the tweet says, "one of the best hitters of the last youth championship leaves Cuba", I wish that would carry over when posting here

Yeah I said he shouldn't be manager a couple days ago since he didn't meet any of the criteria laid out by RH, so I'm guessing that's why. Still, some soft behavior IMO.

So apparently Ozzie (or whoever runs his account) is out there blocking a bunch of people on Twitter. Soft as Charmin if you ask me.

It's a Hawkism, "The Will To Win"

I will once again reiterate that nobody knows nothin about the White Sox

The only sense I can make out of interviewing Ozzie is getting his opinion on what he'd change with the club. Even doing that I hate bc of the circus that surrounds it. Other than that, Ozzie doesn't have any of the laid out characteristics from Hahn's presser. Last managed 10 years ago, last winning season 12 years ago, made the playoffs in two out of nine tries. Sure, he won a world series as a manager, but that was nearly 17 years ago. Not exactly "recent success" by any stretch.

Merk gave us an ominous Thome tweet and that was it. Fegan at least said they were interviewing other candidates today but didn't rule out anyone.

Nobody knows nothing, just as expected

the plot thickens...

FWIW

They did give TLR 4M per to do his best Weekend at Bernie's impression, so maybe the times are a'changing

Bochy to TEX

Eliminates one more team out of the managerial search.

Prospects Live has their top 200 list out

For me, I'm not ready to proclaim that the sky is falling just yet over Merk's tweet. While it would be EXTREMELY on brand for the Sox to do some dumbass s%*# like that, paired with their aversion to outside influences for whatever dumb reason, I'm saving my outrage for when a dumb decision is actually confirmed. We expect them to be dumb bc they've given us no reason to think otherwise, but to me it just seems that there's so much conflicting info out there at the moment that I'm not getting too hung up on the "on-brand" parts right now. I truly hope they try something different for once in their lives, this org BADLY needs an influx of it.

merk out here planting seeds ?

Pedro Grifol as well. Cairo is supposed to get one, just nothing confirmed as to if that's happened yet.

Yep that doesn't all add up, but I'm sure the job security and millions of dollars over the years would go a long way in keeping one content with their situation.

From speaking to a few of the employees in the past, some pull double duty working for both the Cubs/Sox or other event type work during the summer and shifting over to the UC during the winter months depending on the company they're employed by.

Fartlington Heights more like it

Probably because they needed the money

I'd rather just have Beltran as manager over the combo.
