    Koch + Me

Never mind the fact that Carl Crawford is cross-eyed
  2. We've been in this position 3 or 4 times this season just to see our hopes, each of those times, be devastatingly dashed. When we are in first place..... IN SOLE POSSESSION OF FIRST PLACE..... I'll dream. Not until then. I've learned my lesson.

Koch ain't Foulke. Woe be the day in the second half of '03, especially if we are in serious contention for the AL Central, that Sox fans will have to depend on Billy Botch to close games with a 1-run lead. If it comes down to that, we're screwed. Even when Botch was "on" his game, he'd be lucky if he pitched 1-2-3 in an inning 1/3rd of the time.
  4. *JINX* MINNESOTA IS GOING UNDEFEATED IN THE SECOND HALF OF '03 *JINX*

I'm all for giving Botch a chance to turn it around..... on another team in '03 or '04

He's pretty close to Navarro in terms of effectiveness.
  7. Thanks Rex Here's too Matt Bruback becoming the next Nolan Ryan ..... and the PtbNL becoming the next Barry Bonds
  8. Ramirez definitely is an upgrade over Hernandez though. Cubs get lucky as f*** again. Pittsburgh announced today that they are trading everyone they have at the ML level if someone wants them and they'll likely, by this trade, take any offer involving prospects.
  9. Cubs get Ramirez and Lofton from Pirates for Jose Hernandez, Brubeck (?), and a PtbNL. Not sure if I heard that Brubeck guy's name correctly. Interesting.
  10. *Jinx* Minnesota is going undefeated in the second half of '03 *Jinx*
  11. They should. Toronto isn't a bottom feeder and there is usually a decent sized crowd at the SkyDome
  12. Was part of his arm chewed off? No mention if he began the trek with Abe Simpson I see.
  13. Uday and Qusay are pushing up daisies Mosul is very close to the border of Syria I think. Guess where daddy is with his WoMD? Saddam Hussein :dips*** Not only will Saddam eventually be found, but bin Laden will (if he isn't already dead or in US custody) and Saddam's WoMD will be too. The US should check France for Saddam's WoMD considering how chummy Hussein and Chirac were.
  14. Good pitching usually beats good hitting. And our good hitting only comes in 2 week spurts. MB needs to add on to that career best consecutive win streak for us to have a chance against Halladay, if he is indeed pitching, tomorrow.
  15. :fyou KC and Minnesota!
  16. He's lost (so far with Colon) on three out of the four you've mentioned. And it's too early to deliberate on whether R Alomar/Everett were good trades. Throw in Koch/Cotts for Foulke/Johnson/Valentine and you lose another one. Loaiza wasn't so much KW as it was JR inviting cheapies to ST for the 4th or 5th spot in the pitching rotation. KW also brought us K-layton and Mr. 1-Month Lofton. Olivo and Marte are bright spots though..... God knows, KW will be the first to remind you and the media of this fact. KW supporters need to acknowledge that KW has hurt this team more than he has helped it in his brief almost 3 season tenure.
  17. Tall order. Seattle on the road, Anaheim at home and on the road, and Oakland at home..... teams that usually spank us. It's gonna be tough to win in August PERIOD! PS..... don't forget KC at home and NY on the road in August either
  18. JM is a loser and it rubs off on this team.
  19. His wife got the computer in the divorce settlement
  20. You will live to regret that grasshopper
  21. We did the same thing from 06/20-07/02 then we went in the toilet for 2 weeks. Wait and see. I'm looking for consistency. With the White Sox, it's all or nothing.
