I was with you HSC. We know there was no way that cheap ass JR was gonna pony up the cash to sign a Colon. And we know KW isn't savvy enough of a GM to broker any big deals without a full-fledged "Shouldergate" type scandel. Sometimes I wonder why I keep cheering for this team. :mad:

I resented him a lot when we were in the 93 playoffs and he took all the focus off of the Sox by his "I'm back" games - upstaged the Sox on purpose, all that media gathered for the playoffs, just to feed his preening ego. Really disliked him for that. Of course I am a Piston fan so what do I know. Huh ? In 93, Jordan was announcing his retirement from basketball. The media caught wind of it when he threw out the first pitch at the first White Sox home playoff game in 93. It had nothing to do with his "I'm back" games. Not gonna happen with the cheap ass owner that JR is. This "diminished skills clause" is the greatest thing to happen for JR in regards to Thomas' salary. And I agree with you that Frank Thomas was the greatest hitter in the 90's. It's a shame JR will not show Frank the respect that he deserves. :mad:
