After this season, his key should be just to keep the ball in the goddamn park
-
Perhaps..... but I'd rather see a rotation with Biddle instead of Parque.
-
Don't fret. "Dollar" Bill Wirtz will sign whoever it takes to replace the hole left in Daze's absence.
-
I can't disagree with you there Cerbaho-WG. Just goes to show you what the taxpayers get when the goddamn owner, who knows nothing about architecture or stadium integration into a neighborhood's surroundings, gets to choose what type of ballpark WE build for him.

Crede hit a HR Chisoxfn. Sox up 2-0
-
Sox start off with KC, Detroit, and Cleveland in 2003. Season officially begins March 31. Interleague includes a West Coast swing this year. The Sox will visit the D-Backs and LA while SF and SD visit the Windy City. And, if I heard correctly, 19 of the April games are at home. Gonna be a cold first couple of series..... home or away. All-Star game will be July 15th.

Look at the bright side..... No sCrUBS!!!!! Do they even play in the SL? I'm no Cub fan so I don't know
-
I'm not gonna get my hopes up. Felt good about 2001 and even better about 2002 only to have my hopes crushed early on.
-
Why doesn't anyone try to copy the New Comiskey Park? These new retro parks have been overdone. Enough already!

Please don't mention anything good about Miami. The fact that the f***ing jagoff Wannstedt has coached that team for 3 years and it has yet to collapse onto itself makes me wanna f***ing hurl like Drea DeMateo's character (sorry..... can't remember the name) on the Soprano's this past Sunday. I'm not gonna spoil it for anybody who has yet to see the scene but it is so money. Check it out if you can..... it's in the last 5 minutes.

I would prefer a 2003 rotation without any mention of Ritchie myself. However, I think KW and Ritchie feel they have something to prove for next season. Ritchie wants to prove to Sox fans that he is better than what we saw this season. KW wants to shove it up our ass for all the bashing we've done to him because of this trade. One thing about Ritchie that I respected is that he knew he sucked this year and he admitted it. We had other KW acquisitions that seemed to blame everyone but themselves. Todd didn't. Hats off to him for that at least.

Approximately 140 for me but it's no big deal
-
No doubt. AL Player of the Week (a few weeks back) and proving to everyone, so far, that he could be everything we've heard he could be.
-
Awesome. Saw him belt two of the four HR's on Saturday. Way to go Magglio!

This is what I've been saying all season Chisoxfn and I just talked to RPS about it on Saturday. Does Valentin make errors? Yes. But I think what he brings to the table in terms of attitude, leadership, and drive make up for his deficiencies defensively. We were able to win the Division despite all the errors with him at SS in 2000. Harris has shown that he is not ready to hit major league pitching. Jimenez has looked good but who knows what he will look like at the beginning of next year. Jimenez hasn't been in the ML's long enough to guarantee a good start. Lose Manos, and your stuck, right now, with Jimenez and Harris (maybe Hummel if one struggles) in 2003. Manos will, IMHO, be a better player next year when 1.) he knows he's the starting SS, and 2.) he knows he will be playing everyday.

Don't let it happen again Seriously, you guys have a good thing going here. Much better than the other White Sox Boards. The mods here are to be commended.
-
Agreed. And like Jjav829 said, "Pitching wins in the playoffs." At least it did last year for the D-Backs
-
Yeah. LOL. It will be interesting to see what this Organization thinks is a top pitcher. Will they try to tell us that an Ismail Valdez is a top pitcher or will JR pony up some cash and surprise all of us with a TOP PITCHER like he surprised us with the signing of, at the time, Albert Belle. I'm gonna lean toward an Ismail Valdez type that this Organization will attempt to pawn off on us fans as the next coming of Cy Young.

When you start banning Top Ten Posters for sarcasm and referring to a mod as "Little Hitler," your bound to tick off more than a few of the regulars. Not to mention it sucks when you ask a mod a question and he makes you feel like a goddamn idiot.

Because they only use half of their head in thinking! Oh, and BTW, I hate St. Louis too! Attending ISU, I deal with St. Louis sports fans here all the time, and they don't know a thing about tradition! Compared to Chicago, they ain't s***! They do when it comes to the Cardinals though. St Louis baseball fans are among some of the most intelligent baseball fans I've come into contact with. And it's not just because they hate the Cubs with as much fervor as the CubKilla . But if they talk about tradition in regards to the St Louis Rams..... then by all means..... biyatch slap them

Speaking of Jordan and Ewing..... Jordan's best dunk? During one of the playoff runs (sorry, I forget which year..... there were at least 6 of them), Jordan dunks on Ewing, Ewing falls on his ass to the floor, and Jordan pumps his right fist from side-to-side. The camera went in close to MJ's face and you can see him utter, and I'm paraphrasing here, "f*** YEAH, MOTHERf***ER!" That was so sweet!

Speaking of the Steelers, does anybody know why they have their logo on only one side of their helmet? This enigma has puzzled me for years! Please help.
