I, for one wasn't, but I'd be a little pissed if I had, say, a 5 or 6 year old child watching the HalfTime Show. So I can see why some people would have a problem with it. But back to my original point, CBS owns the syndication rights to the Stern Show thus, the s***, as some would say, it's all starting to roll down hill. The FCC feels it necessary to clean house, so, unfortunately, the Sterns, Manqueer's, Opie and Anthony's, etc. are standing in the way.

I don't think anybody should say dick about the movie until they've seen it. All of this deepseated hatred for a movie hardly anyone here has even seen. Once you've seen it, then make your judgment. Until then, stuff it. I love how a few of the movie reviews I've read about "The Passion" that claim it is anti-semitic are reaching far to grasp an anti-semitic scene or interpretation. To the contrary, most rabbi's across the country that have been interviewed after seeing the film claim there is no anti-semitism. The only one's claiming that there was are the close-minded individuals that were screaming anti-semitism when they found out Mel Gibson was creating a film based on The Passion Play BEFORE they even saw it.

I'm not saying the bible is a historic document. I said it is a reportedly historic document of events during the time of Jesus Christ (New Testament).

I was raised Catholic (no longer practicing for opinions I have on the Catholic Church) and went to Catholic grammar and high schools. I was schooled on the Bible for approximately an hour a day for 12 years. In those 12 years I can recall without referencing the bible: 1.) Jesus was jewish. 2.) The jews were of the opinion that the Son of God would never be a poor, humble-man-of-means carpenter. Rather, they thought the Son of God would be a rich, powerful, omnipotent but fair, king. 3.) The jews wanted Jesus crucified for blasphemous claims of being the Son of God. 4.) Pontius Pilate (sp?) saw no reason to crucify Jesus. 5.) The jews insisted. 6.) Pontius Pilate "washed his hands" of a crucifixion he disagreed with but allowed it to happen. If this is the anti-semitism portrayed by Gibson in his movie, hold up the bible as an anti-semitic documentation of reportedly historical events..... not Gibson or his interpretation of them.

This guy should be given a medal. I do hope he's learned his lesson about owning a handgun in Wilmette. I'd personally start a drive to purchase this man a rifle or shotgun. Neither have to be registered by liberal municipalities which punish law-abiding citizens for legally purchased handguns if said gun isn't registered. And not surprisingly, rifles and shotguns leave bigger holes and tear away more muscle, flesh, and sinew. Hitting this guy in the calf with a shotgun slug may have blown his lower leg off. Additionally, depending on where he's hit in the shoulder with a deer slug, you may hit an artery and he'll bleed to death slowly..... painfully. At the very least, he'll be a less effective burglar afterwards with a crutch and an arm/shoulder that he cannot use as effectively anymore. The real drive will need to be started for this homeowner when some scumbag lawyer sues the homeowner and his estate for shooting the burglar. Lesson to all gunowners out there who bought a gun for home protection who may face a similar situation in the future..... when faced with a shooting situation, make sure you kill otherwise lawyers will champion the "rights" of the poor, unarmed, burglar. Oh yeah..... and check with your municipality and register those terrible handguns law-abiding homeowners. I'm sure all the criminals have registered theirs

Did anyone hear Howard Stern this AM when he was using the Dean "AHHHH!!!!!" soundbyte while playing AC/DC's "(For Those About to Rock) We Salute You"? Funny stuff. Had me laughing for a good 5 minutes especially when Artie started doing "Artie DC" to the same song with Dean's "AHHHH!!!!!".
