The DaVinci Code
The big to do over Scorsese's movie "The Last Temptation of Christ" was his supposed sexual fantasy for Mary Magdelene while hanging from the cross. Maybe if Scorsese had the script refined so that they were married, Christian Conservatives wouldn't have had a problem with it. After all, sex is supposed to be strictly between two people, married, that love each other..... right? According to the church? Jesus fantasizing about having sex with a wife he never had sex with should be acceptable for a church that looks upon the act of sex with such disdain..... unless of course, it is for procreation.

Rapoport Article
At least he gives White Sox fans and their posters their due. Moronotti just rips us off and claims the article as his own.

Six die in tragic accident
While I don't like to see perfectly good beer go to waste, it's only LaBatt's. Now if it was some high quality stuff..... by all means..... mourn.

Anybody hear about this game?
Nickle Beer Night? Ahhhhh..... the good old days. I heard about it. The problems which followed are probably why no MLB franchise will ever do it again..... UNFORTUNATELY!

5th Starter:
Rauch or Cotts will get the nod, IMHO, if JR doesn't sign two pitchers
-
Mark Messier
Wayne Gretzky was just sick. There is no one even within earshot of the career numbers that Gretzky put up.
-
NY Post says...
JR has repeatedly stated in the press that he will not sign pitchers long term. The contract offered to MB last season was so full of deferments, loopholes, and incentives, that I don't blame MB one bit for refusing to sign that piece of garbage.

Wonder what Thomas thinks now...
Are you talking about quotes from Thomas about Ozzie or quotes from Thomas regarding his play..... or lack there of..... of team ball? Because if you are talking about "team" Frank, there are plenty of quotes from this past season from Frank's own mouth that he's a "HR hitter," and that, "that is what he is going to do from now on..... hit HR's."

I'll be there. Forget about Frank, Maggs, and Lee. My presence will draw at least 10,000 over the three days.

YOUR fav simpson episode
That episode was on in Chicago yesterday. "Remove the Stone of Shame!" "WOO HOO!" "Attach the Stone of Triumph!" "D'OH!" I am partial to the episode where Homer thinks Bart is gay, the episode where Moe asked Homer to steal his car for the insurance money, and the episode where Bart wants to jump "SpringField Gourge." And as a post-script, TV won't show the Homer vs. New York episode anymore in reruns because of the World Trade Center references.

What is the most polite way
Tell her you don't have any money

Flash
If Botch is here and Gordon isn't then KW better get someone here to close games because Botch is done. Unless KW is gonna go with Danny Wrong or Marte as closer and acquire a stop-gap/cheap BP arm to fill the hole left by Flash.

I've liked every Sox manager on Day 1
We have seen many times, White Sox hitters go up to bunt, and fail. Carlos Lee time and time again comes to mind. To expect Frank and Magglio to bunt is ludicrious. Name 1 player who hits 35 homers a year and also bunts consistently. It doesn't happen. Going the other way, that is a different story. The only decent bunter the Sox had was Alomar. I agree everyone should be able to bunt, but it is simply not the case. Asking Frank or Magglio to bunt would be a huge relief to the other dugout. You don't sacrifice your best hitters. We wouldn't be having the discussion of Frank, Maggs, and Lee bunting if they all didn't try to pull the ball in '03 and hit a HR every AB. Lee started to hit to RF in the second half and, lo and behold, his average increased and so did his RBI totals. Frank and Maggs became two of the most selfish hitters over the course of '03..... trying to hit a HR every AB. Frank was at his best when he utilized all fields. Now he's a "HR hitter." Expect the same crap in '04 if Frank and Maggs worry more about their stats than the team.
