  1. QUOTE(UofIChiSox @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 10:47 PM) I'll be there, somewhere in the upper deck, but I think my buddy and I are thinking about getting there around noon and waiting in line for the bullpen sports bar. That'll still be a first come first serve seating area on the patio there, right? Yup. But you'll be charged more $$$ to sit there.

    Oprah to XM

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 10:45 AM) MLB = better than anything Sirius has. Most people don't give 2 rat's turds about MLB except the likes of people like us.

    The Shield

"The Shield" is great if..... 1.) You're not a cop; and 2.) You're able to suspend reality for 1 hour a week. Any cop, arguably, 1/8th as crooked as Vic Mackey would be riding the desk on suspension for 99% of his carrer IF he's still employed after HALF of what he's SUSPECTED of on this show.
  5. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 03:50 PM) 3. Big Ten Football games SIRIUS carries over 120 colleges in 19 conferences, including Army, Navy, Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Iowa State, Kansas, LSU, Louisville, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Pennsylvania, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UCLA, USC, and West Virginia. That argument is moot.
  6. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 09:12 PM) Howard will be back on terrestrial radio within a year, Sirius selling next-day reruns to stations across the country. Book that. Not a chance. Stern signed a 5 year contract with SIRIUS. Only way he ends up ANYWHERE other than SIRIUS is if SIRIUS goes belly up.

    Weather WTF

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 11:00 AM) This is bloody Chicago!!! It's t-storming!? In December!? Not only do I love snow, but, I'm big into skiiing and this is just downright depressing. Global warming!? What the hell is going on!? Move to Siberia. I, for one, will take the least amount of snow possible EVERY winter. If that's a by product of Global Warming, then bring the Global Warming on.
  8. QUOTE(juddling @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 06:04 PM) if you are lucky...it'll be something small like an ignighter...that and service call was ONLY $100. whew!!! My igniter just went and a new one alone cost $229. $300 for total service.
  9. I'll be first in line to piss on his grave and wipe my freshly "tookied" ass with one of his children's books. This new-found "asset" to society is responsible, directly and indirectly, for the deaths of literally THOUSANDS (maybe HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS by now) of young men and women. Hopefully his upcoming death is as painful as the suffering his victims and his victims families went through...... though I know it won't be.
  10. President Bush May Send Up To 5 Marines For French Assistance President Bush has authorized the Joint Chiefs to begin drawing up a battle plan to pull France's ass out of the fire again. Facing an apparent overwhelming force of up to 400 pissed off teenagers, Mr. Bush doubts France's ability to hold off the little pissants. "Hell, if the last two world wars are any indication, I would expect France to surrender any day now," said Bush. Joint Chiefs head, Gen. Peter Pace, warned the President that it might be necessary to send up to 5 marines to get things under control. The general admitted that 5 marines may be overkill but he wanted to get this thing under control within 24 hours of arriving on scene. He stated he was having a hard time finding even one marine to help those ungrateful bastards out for a third time but thought that he could persuade a few women marines to do the job before they went on pregnancy leave. President Bush asked Gen. Pace to get our marines out of there as soon as possible after order was restored. He also reminded Gen. Pace to make sure the marines did not take soap, razors, or deodorant with them. The least they stand out the better. "No trees were killed in the making of this email......however, a large number of electrons were diverted from where they originally wanted to go."
  11. CONGRATULATIONS WHITE SOX! CONGRATULATIONS JERRY! CONGRATULATIONS KENNY! Thank you from a very gracious White Sox fan who had the privilege of witnessing countless games in 2005..... even some on the road..... and only losing 1 of those games that I attended. THANK YOU!
  12. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) Maybe when the Republicans actually include Democrats in the process of making a plan - or considering what they do bring to the table - you can make that argument. But when you have Katrina investigations excluding Democrat oversight, when you have the Congress waiting a year to consider a Department of Homeland Security because it was a Dem idea... its kind of hard to get Congress to even consider your idea - why bring it to the table? Democrats ran the entire State of Louisiana and look what happened. We already know how the Louisiana democrats reacted when a Class 5 hurricane was approaching and gaining strength ..... then..... they blamed Bush.
  13. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) more at link How about those White Sox huh? You're a tool
  14. QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 07:03 PM) They have been threatening us for 4 years. f***ing pussies. They're big talkers until you take their planes away. f*** Al Qaeda.
  15. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:46 AM) Media scrutiny relating to attendance is going to be worse next season if this team extends far into the playoffs. I couldn't care whether or not there are five people. It's just odd how two weekday home games against KC can cause such a commotion. Let out your complaints now, because we won't have to hear attendance bulls*** for the remainder of this year. Great parts of your post here. And never lose sight that the Chicago sports media has been looking for anything since about early June to write negatively about the Sox. First it was attendance in April/May when the Sox started hot. Then, from about Memorial Day to this past Monday, crowds were more than adequate for EVERY game so the Chicago Media couldn't rip on attendance anymore (the Sox even drew 23-24,000 to a Wednesday DAY GAME on June 22nd). Then the Sox didn't relinquish their first place standing and started hot after the All-Star break..... and don't think it didn't KILL the Chicago media that Buehrle was the Chicago pitcher to start the ALL-STAR GAME and NOT Balsa Woods or Messiah Prior. And remember that the Chicago sports media actually started Wild Card talk for the Cubs almost 1.5 months prior to this point. WildCard talk in the first week of June..... anything to divert attention to the sCrUBS and away from the Sox. Hell, even when the Sox experienced their first losing streak ALL SEASON in AUGUST, the media couldn't say much cause the Cubs were out of it already AND the Sox had a big lead built up. But the comparison's to '69 were there definitely. Nothing negative to write UNTIL the last two days, but man, did the Chicago sports media pounce on it like a salivating lion on a meat truck. No talk about AL Central dominance by the Sox, no talk about the Sox being 31-15 in one-run games. Maybe a blurb about these f***ing numbers. That's it. Just alot of talk about the only numbers that seems to matter in this s***hole of a city and to it's sports media AND the only thing that the CUBS seem to be able to WIN over the SOX..... f***ING ATTENDANCE. Chicago sports media = BUSH LEAGUE HACKS
  16. QUOTE(SouthSidePride05 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 08:44 AM) It's because people don't like going to games with small crowds. Speak for yourself. I LOVE small crowds. Easy in/out, no wait for the bathrooms or concessions, great seats.... even when walking up, and small crowds usually mean diehard crowds. I actually got pissed off this summer with the amount of fairweathers I saw with great seats while I had to settle for what was left because I wouldn't know if I'd be able to go until the last minute with my regular work schedule and OT. And alot of the people that were showing up were CUB FANS that felt it necessary to come to USCF and cheer AGAINST the White Sox because their team was tanking. Remember THAT when the media tells you that Cub fans don't care about the Sox.
  17. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 08:39 AM) Does anybody have any insight into why attendance has dropped so low this month, especially when we're in the thick of it? The only thing I could think of was: school started? Attendance has only dropped off for the last 2 (probably 3) games. The Detroit Series had more than adequate crowds. KC blows but that's not an excuse. School, gas prices, work (I'm working 2P-10P this month), and other factors certainly are. But KC should not be. Fans that can SHOULD be going to see the SOX whenever they can at USCF..... especially this year. I'll be there Sunday..... my next day off
  18. If anyone wants to hear SnR's tired but completely kick a$$ songlist, w/can put it on the air now. Pessi and Guido are in the studio already and Pessi is still kinda crunked from last night. Let us know
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 10:09 AM) I don't have the tickets yet but I ordered them and I could care less whether you believe me or not. As I was saying..... That's believable. You made it sound, at first, like you already got your hands on walk-up tix.
  20. Small crowds rule. I hate going to The Cell now with all the goddamn fairweathers and Cub fans that feel it necessary to come out to The Cell and cheer for the other team. As much s*** as I hear from the media about the Cub fans not caring about the Sox, I don't recall ever seeing or hearing about a Sox fan starting s*** at Wrigley in 2003. Cub fans have been going to The Cell regularly ever since the Dybas incident.
  21. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 10:18 PM) No, No bulls***, Rowand, how did you do it? MLB sets the on sale dates and price for Playoff tickets. He's full of it. He might have an in with the Sox ticket staff, but he don't have his hands on any tix right now. No one does..... not even the brokers. And I know a broker and prices will be starting at around $300 for the worst seats for the ALDS, $500 for the worst seats for the ALCS, and $1000 for the worst seats if the Sox make the WS. He said $5000-$8000 per tic might not be out of the question for WS Premium Lower Box.
  22. QUOTE(YASNY @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 09:21 AM) I honestly have to say that there are some posters that I seriously doubt this is the case. That's BS. Look at the history of this club. Hasn't won a WS since 1917 and the Sox have been to the playoffs sparingly and they have been to the WS even more sparingly since 1917 with consistent LOSING results.
  23. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 09:07 AM) So what is it? What makes a fan do it? How can someone be a die hard fan, but constantly preach and predict negativity. 87 years. 1st and 2nd halfs of 2005 eerily similar to 2000. Need I go on?
  24. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) Maury is not there tonight I believe. It's Killa and Guido....I think? Good play-by-play . You can put it on the board..... YES!!!!!
