The only vet I assume you are speaking of is Frank Thomas. While I don't think Ozzie is the best of what JR could have hired as Sox manager, if any player on the Sox team is gonna give Ozzie s*** because of his age and lack of experience, they need to be shipped the f*** out..... regardless of who the player is. Part of being a professional is accepting the hiring decisions within the Organization. Having said that, I think Thomas will be fine with playing with an ex-teammate as manager. Hopefully, Thomas was notified of said hiring before he exercised his option just in case Thomas could have foreseen a problem with taking direction from Guillen.

During an interview last week on the Murph Show (?), Cito stated that the criticism of his moves while he was the manager of the Blue Jays was racially motivated. I guess minority managers never make bad managerial decisions..... they're only perceived as bad because of the color of their skin. Do we really want to put up with THIS s*** the next couple of seasons? Ozzie is looking better and better.

I agree with Rex. Those numbers are attainable for PK as long as he doesn't start off '04 like he started off '03. Alot of people here seem to forget that PK was an AllStar in '02 and, in the minds of some, the '02 AllStar MVP if Bud would have made the players finish the game.

I also gave KW credit for the Everett/R Alomar deals. But this is, like you said, KW's make or break offseason. He's had a huge offseason trade each offseason during his tenure...... two during the '02-'03 offseason..... and he's a huge 1-4. KW better get his s*** together this offseason and get back to the .500 mark. NOT dealing with Beane would be a good start.
