I'm not jumping all over you for this, but JG has been in the majors for how long now? 3? 4 seasons? How much time are we gonna give Garland before Sox fans realize that JG is a .500 at best SP? He has no consistency. He's easily rattled. He has just recently showed slight improvement in pitching over fielding errors. The guy has had at least 3 full seasons to improve from extremely mediocre to slightly above average and, in my opinion, he hasn't done it AND HE'S HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO SHOW SOMETHING. He's a number 4 on a good day and a number 5 on most.

This is the first good day to be a Hawks Fan since Brian Sutter was hired as coach. Sorry NUKE, but the Sutter's blow. Too bad Smith wasn't the problem with the SlackHawks Organization.

No more than anyone here can prove that Botch was injured. My opinion is based strictly on speculation, Botch's admission that he wasn't hurt (until his DL stint which was brief), and the Organization's failure to find anything wrong with him through medical testing.

I know what we need and what I expect out of Koch. It just isn't going to happen. Botch is toast and so is his arm. All that money..... wasted. This offseason should be KW's make or break point of his tenure. His three big trades of the past three offseasons have been MONUMENTAL BUSTS..... minor exception Colon and Colon didn't put up his '02 numbers keep in mind. There is no reason to think that KW is going to turn into a MLB Trade Savant overnight.

He also said that the White Sox will be the breakout team in 2004. I don't look for either to happen. Sometimes I really wonder where Gammons gets his stuff.

In my travels to LV, I've stayed at Treasure Island, MGM, Tropicana, Riviera, and StarDust. As far as the sports-books go, StarDust doesn't have the fanciest or the cleanest betting area, but the StarDust is where the lines are set and nothing beats the myriad of digital boards which are updated first in LV when a line changes.

The Sox schedule maybe held up due to the renovations. That's one possibility. Sox, like the Bears this year, might opt to start the season with 7-9 games on the road to give the construction crews 2 more weeks to finish. Just an idea.
