I listened to about 2 minutes of this interview and had to turn it off. He started off saying Reinsdorf wants nothing more than to win, and that he has a deep love for the fanbase. Couldn't take him seriously after that.

I'd be surprised if he's still in the organization next year let alone on the big club.
its a shame because in my OOTP game he hit 50 bombs in his rookie year and put up a 1000 OPS

The only FA signings that are coming here are desperate ones, or vastly overpaid ones. Thats it. Who the F would want to join this organization with how bleak its future is? With all the drama and bad rapport over the last few years? Id stay far, far away.
Wheeler and Harper have to be very happy they didn't sign here.

A team’s stadium factors into your choice for who wins the World Series?
It does for me, I always cheer for cold weather stadiums. Domes suck. West coast sucks. Go Phillies

Jerry turns 88 the first 2024 Spring Training weekend.
I hate the man but Jerry looks fantastic for 87. He’s got another 30 in him

So happy for Jose, I’m sure he’s in heaven right now after the season he had

This wont be a popular opinion, but I find it sad that our fanbase on Twitter and elsewhere is celebrating the "Leury Game" like its some meaningful moment in Sox history. The crowd was awesome that game, but how many other franchises would celebrate a meaningless ALDS game? The other 3 games where just painful beyond belief. Game 4 was especially embarrassing when our fans were cheering on hurt Astros players and throwing trash on the field. The national coverage on that wasnt favorable. I never want to think about the 2021 playoffs ever.

Those Orioles were right, they didn’t need pitching at the deadline. I hope all the prospect hugging was worth it.

pick up his option, hope for a rebound and then trade him at the deadline. I dont get why you would just let him walk this year. We have so much money coming off the books and nobody worth looking at in the minors (Montgomery isnt ready) at SS.

Men committing physical violence against women is wrong. Only exception is self defense and only to the degree necessary to avoid injury to self. If a woman is so f***ed up mentally that she requests you choke her out, or punch her, walk away.
If its consensual its not wrong, and there are plenty of women who are into physicality. I can assure you someone you consider very stable and "together" in the head is into some fucked up stuff.

I dont get people who say he shouldnt be allowed to pitch in MLB even after this. So hes an asshole, yeah, but there are plenty of assholes in MLB. He might be pervy, so what, hes an adult and looks like his encounters with other adults were consensual afterall. Crede had sex with hundreds of women in 2005 alone and hes a hero. TA got laughed at for having an affair, but nothing more. There are countless of unfaithful womanizers in MLB that are celebrated, like Bartolo Colon.
I get that teams wouldn't want the PR hit, but this is a little tragic. His MLB career ended because he trusted the wrong booty call. And for her, i wish he did go through with the counter suit, because shes making it more difficult for those women who actually go through abuse. Just a terrible mess.

July was a bad month for the Old Administration. They drafted Gonzalez and traded Burger for nothing.
We will be lucky if Eder can even get us 2 WAR in his career

They should have gotten more than Eder, yes. That much we should all agree on.
Reclamation? Not really, because Tommy John isn't a death sentence anymore and people do indeed recover from foot injuries over time. Look no farther than ... Jake Burger.
But being hyper reactionary, well, that's what leads people to super hot takes like 🧽 eDeR iS tOaST 🧽
Famously, just like how Chris Sale was toast after his foot fracture in early 2015.
Was calling Jake Eder a failure of a prospect premature? Yes. I admit that.
But for every player like Burger who overcomes a string of likely career ending injuries, there are 500 others who dont. Right now Eder is closer to being Alec Hansen than he is Chris Sale. Even if he turns into the latter it doesnt make the trade any less ridiculous in 2023.

Boy, you sure are quick to write off Eder since you once called Burger a "wasted first round pick."
But don't worry - you're not the only one in that thread calling him a bust. @Lip Man 1 joins you, plenty of @Harold's Leg Lift ragging on the guy. @greg775 repeatedly asks what the hell were the Sox thinking by drafting him.
Burger was truly the worst pick ever, until he wasn't.
Really, the only person adamant that the pick was good/solid was @Y2Jimmy0.
Link to the thread so I can see my comments please, i didnt think of him as a bust, rather thought he would never play baseball again due to TWO ACL tears.
and that doesnt change the fact that the Burger trade was awful. You can look back at old posts to feel better about this trade, and to feel superior to everyone, but it doesnt change the fact that we traded a 3 WAR third baseman on cheap contract for a reclamation project that is currently getting smashed to the tune of a 1000 OPS in AA.

So now we’re just giving him war to justify not liking the trade?
Big deal, he’s at 1.9 thanks to a totally unsustainable run with us. It’s ok to believe in that but already give up on a prospect. Sounds right.
There’s a good chance Eder doesn’t even get 3 WAR in his entire career, that’s not “giving up” it’s just facts

We gave up a 30hr hitter for a failure of a AA prospect, mercy

Wait until you hear about Crede, Rowand, AJ, Buerhle and Anderson. Those guys were hammered drunk their entire White Sox career. Buerhle even pitched in the World Series hammered.
I’m friends with a former Sox player, his stories about Crede were SHOCKING

Duh. And obviously the Sox have no idea how to help him do this.
It starts with him, I doubt he gave a s%*# until now. No way we up his contract for 2025, he knows it.
