  1. Bummer better buy Heuer a massive gold chain after bailing his ass out of that piss poor performance. ???
  2. Unless Lynn is hurt, there is no reasonable rationale for pulling him after only 82 pitches. Lance Lynn is a workhorse who routinely works deep in his starts.
  3. This is a traditional double header (as traditional as 7 inning games can be). The WS announced (after yesterday’s game was postponed) that anyone who has tickets for Game 1 could stay (at no additional cost) for the second game.
  4. Yes, I believe personal expression is solely comprised of the wearing of layers of gaudy gold jewelry... you got me.
  5. “ I was literally about to say - how old must you be to think that gold chains are whats going to attract youngsters to baseball.“ You got me... I feel utterly defeated
  6. By the way, I’ll turn 61 next month. So this isn’t coming from someone in the demographics MLB needs most.
  7. I made a statement about the need to “let the kids play” in order to preserve and (hopefully) grow Major League Baseball. Rather than projecting your overt sensitivity to opinions (with which you disagree)... I suggest you relax and enjoy this amazing team.
  8. In what way does my comment “try and shut down other opinions”? I’m all for thoughtful open discourse... always have been... always will.
  9. Cranky “get off my lawn” baseball traditionalists love to knock freedom of personal expression, at every chance. Meanwhile, MLB demographics skew older and older. Capturing a younger fan base is becoming increasingly essential for the preservation (and future success) of Major League Baseball.
  10. Enjoyable Game 1 win for the Sox... Hopefully, they demonstrate the Means to light up Batimore’s tough lefty in Game 2.
  11. No team is going to win every game. The Sox need to shake it off, come back strong (and ready) to inflict serious damage, upon the Royals, in game 2.
  12. Its time to place Eaton on the IL and give Blake Rutherford a shot at some playing time in RF. He moves fairly well for a 6’ 3” 205 lb player... plays good defense... bats left handed and has solid plate discipline. Tony LaRussa has trotted out, a number of underperforming, journeyman players in the outfield, throughout this early season. Given the unfortunate losses of Eloy Jiménez and Luis Robert) it’s time to minimally give, the former Yankees’ 1st round pick, a shot to see what he can do at the Major League level. If Rutherford underperforms, send him back down to Charlotte. If he performs well, the added benefit is showcasing him as a potential trade chip when Robert and/or Jiménez returns to the WS everyday lineup.
  13. Eaton clearly laboring running to first base. He is a liability, batting. in the 2 hole, at the moment.
  14. Nick Madrigal has; played in 60 career MLB games, with 232 plate appearances. It’s easy to forget that he is still a rookie with unique tools that nicely compliment the White Sox’ power laden lineup. I believe when all is said and done, Nick Madrigal will be a solid, valued complimentary piece of the Collective White Sox arsenal
  15. Taylor HR: Exit velocity: 98 mph, Distance: 353 ft. Wind gusts to RF: 11 mph. Perez HR: Exit velocity: 97 mph, Distance: 344 ft. Wind gusts to RF: 11 mph. Giolito is clearly pressing. He has had difficulty getting into rhythm. His command and release points are off. That said, the weather conditions at Guaranteed Rate Field (this afternoon) turned both routine fly balls into HRs.
  16. When your starting pitcher is clearly struggling, your team leaders (and other starting players) need to execute routine plays... thus not put (unforced) undue stress upon said pitcher. TA routinely declares himself to be amongst the best shortstops in the game. You’ll get absolutely no arguments from me, regarding the offensive side of the equation. However, until he can overcome his propensity to butcher routine throws at levels that rank amongst the highest number (by starting MLB SS, of) throwing errors, TA will continue to be a defensive liability at inopportune times. Let’s hope he has a breakthrough this season to neutralize his most challenging ongoing shortstop deficiency.
  17. White Sox lose 3-1 (in 7 innings), dropping the Pale Hose to 0-3 (and 2 ties). La Russia hates losing (even meaningless early Spring Training games). It’ll be interesting to see how long it’ll take before he blows a gasket.
