  1. Shake it off, Boys… and come out firing on all cylinders, tomorrow.
  2. Confident Lynn will be fine… as will the White Sox offense. It just sucks when they collectively fail to be disciplined at the plate for an entire game (devoid of making adjustments)
  3. When Anderson and crew opt to use the whole field and are willing to take what opposing pitchers are giving them, they are as lethal as any lineup in MLB. Conversely, when they become pull happy vs breaking ball/off-speed heavy pitchers they become pedestrian.
  4. After yesterday’s offensive onslaught, White Sox hitters have been way too pull crazy at the plate today. They (collectively and individually) haven’t attempted to take the ball the opposite way and up the middle tonight. This has played right into Mills’ hands. Hopefully, they will recognize this failed approach and change it (accordingly) vs Kyle Hendricks tomorrow.
  5. The White Sox are really missing having Anderson and Grandal in the lineup. TA has a multitude of ways to generate pressure upon opposing pitches and defenses. Grandal has a great eye at the plate, can deliver clutch power and as switch hitter is capable of producing vs LH and RH pitchers. Let’s hope the Sox can secure a split in this 4 game series… starting with a much needed win tomorrow.
  6. La Russia’s In game managerial decision making has been pathetic.
  7. Top of the Sox batting order to face the Blue Jays’ Frisbee thrower. It’ll be interesting to see if they adjust.
  8. Why challenge Guerrero with a fastball there? Ridiculous decision
  9. Tim Anderson is clearly an important catalyst for the White Sox. He sets the tone for the lineup and takes charge out in the field. When TA is missing from the WS lineup, they seem far less engaged and greatly miss his leadership.
  10. The electrified suppository did its job. Tony was jolted into a response. I wonder if he hit the toilet after the call was overturned.
  11. Whew… Koepek’s natural late movement helped keep that (well hit ball) off the bat’s sweet spot… thus, keeping the deep fly ball in the ball park.
  12. Occasional (untimely) BB notwithstanding, Koepek is a bad, bad man… out on the mound. 😵‍💫
  13. Sad… but true. That said, considering that (prior to this season) , Vaughn had never played a professional baseball game above A+, it’s hard not to be amazed by his performance during his rookie season. The fact that he has also had to learn how to play the OF… and has performed so well there, makes his overall (MLB) debut season all the more impressive.
  14. Like most great defensive 3rd basemen, Chapman probably tested the 3rd baseline rolling ball patterns/characteristics (before the game). This must have led him to ascertain the Bossard gift wasn’t going to roll foul. Thankfully, Eloy picked up Abreu with his rope to LF.
  15. Yes he coaxed a BB. That said, Goodwin with a .111/.150/.167 slash line over the past 7 games. There is no reason to justify starting him at this juncture. He is a substandard defensive outfielder and to make the final out (base running blunder) on a run scoring base hit with 2 outs and TA due up, is unconscionable. The fact that he sheepishly smiled after his f@ck up makes it even more maddening.
  16. Keuchel is undoubtedly great at inducing DPs. One problem is his penchant for making far too many uncompetitive pitches (leading to many hitter’s counts) at critical junctures in the ballgame.
