I find it interesting that the other day during the game Stone was talking about how Lambert was auditioning for all the other clubs...the same kind of language he was using about Burger when we thought he was on the trading block earlier. But I cannot see Lambert having that much value on his own so perhaps that would be him being a piece of a bigger trade?

My fear has always been that when the time comes to trade away guys to make that final push, and I know that will have to be done, Hahn will trade away the wrong guys. I'm also hesitant to sell low on a guy. I agree everything would have to go perfectly for this team as currently constructed to get to a World Series, let alone win one. Unfortunately, I do fall in love with our prospects at times. Hell I was pissed when they traded Steele Walker...I thought he was going to be a doubles machine playing great defense in RF for years. Obviously moves have to be made. I just don't trust the current guys in charge to make the right ones. But I hope they do.

They were so good at home last season. That is why I thought it was so crucial to keep the foot on the gas and go for the home field advantage last year instead of rest guys for October or whatever they were doing. Every year's team is different and you have to play to their strengths. One year later and they suck at home.
