April 7, 20233 yr Soxtalk gamethreads were the best whenever Alex came in for a save. His high wire acts on the mound were quite fun to follow. He usually did get the job done.....eventually.

Opening night I mentioned the tight rope act he used to do when Reylo came into the game in the game thread and spoke this into existence. Sorry in advance.
April 7, 20233 yr The good news: he sucked with Colorado last year and it's hard to gauge pitchers pitching at Coors. The bad news: he wasn't any better on the road than he was at home last year.

April 7, 20233 yr This is one guy Hahn got right. Think of all the players he’s paid not to play for the White Sox. Considering how little depth they have, this guy is as good of bet as anyone they can get cheap to eventually help out.
April 7, 20233 yr We're a week into the season and the front office is already changing the bullpen. Come the f*** on... this is the work you put in to improve the team during the offseason. Instead he sat on the 2022 bullpen and rode that into spring training. Rick Han is derelict of duty.
April 7, 20233 yr They’ve used Alberto on the mound twice. Blame the starting five. s%*# happens. Ruiz sucked and they need the innings from Charlotte now.

April 7, 20233 yr Why are we crying about this move? It's a minor league deal, and if can be of any use, that's great. If not, no big deal. At least they recognized that Ruiz sucks and were quick to let him go.

Don't think anyone is crying over it, just another example of the Sox "dumpster diving" because they have little to no depth during a supposed "window of contention" and that is maddening.
