The Phillies are 15-6 since they fired Girardi. What is wrong with moving on at this point? Simplistic and cliche or not, who can seriously argue that LaRussa is the guy to lead this team to a World Championship? That is what he was brought in to do. In that sense, last year was a failure and this season is a fiasco. Injuries are not the only reason this team is not even a .500 club...that is simplistic.

But if you are not willing to really root for this team, don't come back. Steve doesn't need your negativity.

I feel your pain. I think that was the worst game I have ever been to....and I was at the Paniagua debacle. I too have mostly been following on my phone because this team is tough to watch and I am a fan who would tune in to game 162 when they had been eliminated weeks before. My wife actually switched to the game last night because she thought I wanted to watch. I thanked her and then hit the last button to go back to a commercial on the other channel.

For those of you that stuck with the team through a long rebuild just to see this product....tough shit. How come the Phillies and Angels thought it was quite practical to replace their manager? People are pissed and should be Stone. FUCK OFF.

I think it is time for this team to kick some ass for a couple of games against the Orioles, just to trick me again into thinking "it's an easy schedule the rest of the way, they can do this." Right now I can't see this team as anything better than hanging around .500, no matter what the schedule.

I thought yesterday's game was bad....today sounded worst. I'm glad I missed most of it. 1 run in 2 games vs the Orioles might be a new low for this squad.

I don't know if it would work for every baby, but the album Sleep Baby Sleep by Nicolette Larson was a godsend late nights when I could not get my infant son back to sleep. I would put it on and walk the room with him and before long he would be out. Congratulations to you and your wife of course on the fabulous news. Your lives have just changed in so many wonderful ways.

You do have to know your players though. Austin Hayes is 2nd in the league in assists this year and Sheets is just damn slow. It is Super Joe's job to know both of those things and act accordingly. Interesting little twist on the price of energy on a personal level. I just received notification from Peoples Gas that my monthly budget plan will be increasing $97 a month. That's over $1100 for the year. So I get to add that onto the increase at the pump. My wife told our son she will start using his old bike to get to work if these gas prices continue to climb....he said he doesn't believe her.

Plus this streak is giving me another reason to wear my Cannonballers hat.
