I don't remember this, but I do remember being at a Sox game where they played "Here I go again" pregame when Chuck Finley was going to pitch for Cleveland I believe....I found out later that the Sox fired the DJ for playing that Whitesnake song.

That was a retirement party for Country Joe....he's performing at the local Appleby's.

A shorter season will suck if our Sox go back to making the playoffs once a decade...or they continue to get bounced in the 1st round of the playoffs.

What a roller coaster minor league career he had....best of luck to him going forward. I too had held out hope that he could be a decent bullpen piece....but I also did the same with Carson Fulmer til the bitter end so I guess I always hope.

Just finished watching it with my wife...it was much more entertaining than we were expecting. Fun movie but we do like Ryan Reynolds. As you suggested, if you don't like him you probably want to pass on it.

One of the most entertaining times I had at a regular season game was watching Shingo pitch for the 1st time. My nephew and I were laughing as frisbee after frisbee made the hitters that game look like idiots. Great fun. Congrats Shingo...wonder if he will wear his World Series ring to the ceremony?

I truly miss reading to my son....it was one of the great joys of parenting for me. One day when he was quite young and I was too busy to read at the moment, he brought me a book and said, "read to your child, so that your child will love to read."...I dropped what I was doing and started to read.

Starting to re-read the first 2 books of The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss. Since the author read his prologue for Book 3 for a charity fundraiser over the holiday season, I am hoping that "The Doors of Stone" will be coming out this year. Book 1 "The Name of the Wind" was released in 2007 and Book 2 "The Wise Man's Fear" was released in 2011. I know the author is a perfectionist but hot damn, 11 years is a long time to wait for a book.

Alan Tudyk is just outstanding and the supporting cast is great too. I am very excited for the 2nd season. I hope it is as good as season 1 and if it is not I will be saying "That is some bullshit."
