  1. Good idea...chilling some gumball heads for game time
  2. I don't see what would be more effective for this team next year than a top of the rotation starting pitcher, especially if he is not looking for a long contract. The offense will be even better next year with a healthy Moncada, Vaughan, and anyone else in RF imho.
  3. Get well. Health is everything. He was one pass in the ass great manager with those Twins.
  4. And I thought the Eloy-Delmon Young comparison was bad.
  5. Ok, but I can't make any promises in the heat of a gamethread moment.
  6. Even Cishek?
  7. Luis hit that last ball right on the button for the last out yesterday....I know but I'm looking for any light at the end of the tunnel. We need someone at the bottom of the lineup to get hot soon.
  8. I agree. Unfortunately, I don't know if Yoan can turn the corner this season, he is just not healthy. Robert, who knows with a rookie.
  9. F%$#&^%#$$ Mazara is not going to figure it out in a week. Stop playing that bum and give Engel some damn at bats. I hate being a broken record, but for crying out loud get Nomar out of the lineup. Also 5 through 8 in that lineup are pretty damn close to automatic outs lately....very frustrating.
  10. Inside his wheelhouse, his knowledge of pitching is off the charts imho.
  11. And we are gonna have these fun discussions for years with how young this team is. Terrific profile pic by the way...I love the swagger of this team plus the fact that they all seem to be a bunch of great guys who are easy to root for.
  12. I changed my mind...I think I will shell you for that edited plan Honestly, I'm excited to see what they do. They might get some veteran arms for the bullpen in the offseason so that could affect where Crochet starts the year.
  13. Any chance we would see Foster as an opener in the playoffs?
  14. I'm not going to shell you for being excited about that debut. That was some electric stuff there. I think they brought him in to be a starter, so I would guess Crochet will start in the minors to get the innings.
  15. I'll follow TA's lead. I would also love him especially on a 1 year deal....if he goes for a 2nd year "option" even better.

What is your beverage of choice during a Sox game in this best bar?
  17. Tough night for the young man. Never pitched above A ball I believe?
  18. I don't know about fraud, but I think the guy has the credibility of Peggy Kusinski's son at this point...if that high.
  19. Check out the thread Trevor Bauer Breaks Down Giolito's No-No currently on p7 of SoxTalk threads and the video is there. I found it fascinating.
  20. If I needed a pinch hit late in a playoff game, I think I would take Jerry Hairston (at age 68) over Mazara.
  21. I became a big fan watching his analysis of Giolito's no hitter. He is so knowledgeable about the art and science of pitching and would be terrific for our young pitchers imho.
  22. I'm afraid we are stuck with him as DH. At least he may run into one as he has. I am honestly very concerned offensively about Moncada and Robert right now. Physically Yoan just is not himself this year. Long term, Robert will figure it out, but time is running out for him to do so this year. Feel free to prove me wrong, boys. I would be thrilled.
  23. Stiever got rocked. Offense was flat. Crochet was electric. Get em tomorrow.
