His maturation as a hitter has been on great display lately, especially last night. He is uber valuable to the White Sox in particular imho, therefore I think I would probably be annoyed at how low they would list his trade value if they did list him.

I am actually really enjoying the importance and urgency that every win brings to a shortened season. With that in mind, I was thinking of the concept going forward to split the regular season in half to make 2 smaller seasons before the playoffs. That way, half way through the year every team would have a new life. I want to say that the minor leagues or CBA tried such a concept but I could be just imagining that.

I know that we don't want to make Eloy a full time DH at such a young age, but isn't that basically what he is with Robert in CF? Could just put an Eloy cardboard cutout out there with that priceless annoyed look on his face.

Since I watch very little NL play, I did not know much about Grandal coming in to this season. I have been relying on the word of other posters that he is a very streaky hitter. If he is heating up now that could help the Sox to go on a run against some lesser opponents and put them in a better playoff position.
