  1. I am so confused with how these things work now. Used to be so simple to follow.
  2. We are getting that much closer to TA catching. I can practically smell it.
  3. The same thing happened with Grandal, Moncada and now Mendick. They all were just starting to fire on all cylinders and then they got injured. The hits just keep coming.
  4. And the pitch count rises
  5. He's the manager forever.
  6. We have a pitching rotation and an injury rotation. One guy goes on, another comes off.
  7. He and Stony are full of it tonight. This is thoroughly entertaining.
  8. I'm really not feeling good about this series. I hope I'm wrong but this just feels like it's gonna be another series loss or sweep to another good team. Having TA back will be nice and is sorely needed, but we have much bigger issues than that, sadly. Who's getting injured in this series?
  9. If he doesn't have Nationwide I don't even know what life means anymore.
  10. I expect something along the lines of "I quit"
  11. I have definitely heard one of the announcers hock at least 2 loogies in this broadcast
  12. "Yeah he hit that ball pretty good that would have been an out in any other park."
  13. Hoo boy. I really don't have the time to thoroughly answer this question. All you need to do is look at the lineups he was screwing around with for the first 2 months of the season. And I would actually argue it's more with pitchers than with the hitters. Exhibit A: Intentionally walking Trea Turner with a 1-2 count to get to Max Muncy. Got national attention. Easy case of manager losing the game. Look, I wasn't totally against TLR when he was hired. I wasn't "thrilled," but I wasn't against it. Hell he even got us to the playoffs last year. But if you've watched most Sox games this season, and have a good sense of modern-day baseball, I'm not sure how one doesn't question TLR's decision-making. Lately, I think someone up front has been up his ass, because his lineups have been actually making sense.
  14. Sure. But the obsession with this manager with handedness, no matter who the hitter is, is a little ridiculous, don't you think?
  15. That was a great comeback after yesterday's debacle. Baseball sure is a strange game.
  16. Him and TA at the top of the lineup followed by Abreu, Robert, Pollock and Burger should score us plenty of runs the rest of the way. Forget Moncada, Grandal and Jimenez. We can score without them.
  17. This game is the perfect example on how handedness should not be the primary decision-maker when it comes to matchups
  18. If anything, Mendick has earned the starting 2B job, and at the very least Burger is the DH. I also think Seby's bat is valuable enough to where they should try to keep him on the roster but idk how that would work.
  19. Now it's on Cueto and the bullpen. This game is far from over. Houston offense can come back in a heartbeat. Don't let up!
  20. Lets go Robert shut this down make it 8-0
