*** Official Game Thread - Sox vs. A's 3/8/04***
Nice job - forcing them to make errors. Too bad Aaron committed a base running mistake. I'm sure he'll hear from Ozzie on that one...

Royals Rotation
Just saw this posted on Yahoo. I'm wondering how our lineup will fare against so many lefties. What will the lineup be against lefties? Any ideas?

Dodgers and Lima?
Speaking of the Dodgers - they've penciled in Jackson as their 5th starter. So, its doubtful Lima will start... Yahoo link to story

Does anybody Know....
"All I know is... there were rumors...." -The Pixies (Boston's greatest band) There isn't any talk whatsoever on the Boston sports stations about anything even remotely happening with Nomah. And I'm sure these guys are plugged in just as well as anyone... This guy's "source" is BS - Texas just named A-Rod the captain! How could they turn around and trade the guy?

Sporting News Preview from Yahoo!
Positive spin? He said we were a team obviously going downhill... which, it unfortunately seems, we are.

Here's a trade rumor that makes perfect sense!!
Iishi suffers from control problems. He strikes out a ton of people, but once he gets rattled he loses it. I wouldn't want him...

Kick Me In The Shingo!
If a Koch trade does go down, do Montreal/Pittsburgh have any decent prospects? I just looked through Rotoworld's top 100 and there ain't no one cept for Matthew Hinckley that looks interesting. Though I suppose we'd just be trading Koch for just any old person and just trying to dump the payroll....

Spring Training Invites
How many players are invited to Spring Training in total? Is this just guys from outside the Sox farm system that were invited?

Sox should pick up Mark Redman
So strange that the A's would non-tender him after trading Mike Neu for him. Looks like Billy Beane finally loses out on a deal...

Assorted Mariners news
- If Rogers is Right
I'm all with you here. I really don't want Nomah and if we do get him, its necessary to ship him off immediately. It does nothing to help us having him around. The lineup that you have above has an amazing bullpen, a rather good rotation and a batting order (provided they aren't in a 2002-like haze) that can hold its own with any team. Plus, we'd have guys waiting in the wings for later in the season. Unfortunately, it sounds like the Dodgers are rather unwilling to give up any of these top prospects of theirs. We'll see... gotta hate the waiting game.- Jackson scouting report
Screw Nomah - I want this guy...- Valentin to Padres
Jarvis is owed a whole lotta money. I don't know how much, but I know SD has been trying to dump him on anyone and everyone they trade with. In fact, in initial negotiations with the Pirates on the Giles deal were delayed because SD was so insistent on dumping this guy. I don't like the smell of this...if its for real.- You know what?
TB Management claims they would have to be "blown away" by an offer for Huff to even consider dealing him. So theoretically, they are willing to deal him, but a team would have to pay dearly to get him. I think they're even remotely considering it because Huff is relegated to DH now that they have Jose Cruz.... - If Rogers is Right
