I think we can catch Minnesota. I also think Cleveland probably wins the division with that pitching. Minnesota has a ton of injuries. We have a solid record against the winning teams but you are right, we need to win more. I wouldn't mind investigating a trade for Bauer either. He'd be a month rental but we could try and show him our vision for the future and his role in a large market being an ace. With Bauer, Gio, and DK, this team could get to the ALCS this season.

I always tell people if life is good don't change a thing. Jose is an icon in Chicago because of the chance he got here at the time, and he was able to become a leader with no pressure on him yet. He may have had a HOF career elsewhere, but he wouldn't be The Man like he is here. I think the MLB HOF is too numbers oriented and they need to look at the total picture. If Abreu pulls a Nelson Cruz and the Sox win a few titles with him as the leader, he'd deserve HOF consideration.

Abreu wouldn't be with us if he came here 5 years earlier.

Great win for this team. Winning a game we were underdogs in. I give credit to Ricky but he also needs to get his head out of his ass. He has to make better decisions than he has if we will be serious contenders.

Or you could just have Engel play RF. Happ and Rizzo batting lefty is more of a concern in the bottom of the 9th.
