All three teams we traded won world series' within the window of those trades. The Cubs won in 2016, and reached the NLCS in 2017. Those teams gave up a ton of talent, but won the big prize. That being said, those teams also spend a lot of money and can overcome trading away talent. Will we get to the point where we spend big money to replace a stud that was traded?

This year is legit. All of the teams that should make the playoffs are gonna make them. So I don't mind winning this world series as the title will be well earned.

I also think it was more of a Fire Ricky than Fire Hahn. I think most people felt game 6 was a needed win, but there wasn't a ledge jump until the double header sweep.

I'm not sure the Mets make this trade. There is a high bust potential with that boom. They would probably go a safer route and bring in pitchers that have actually pitched somewhere.

If Degrom were 29 I'd make that trade. At 33, it is not as easy for me knowing Kopech can be a top 10 pitcher this decade. If the Sox feel Degrom would be really good for another 2 years minimum, like CY Young convo good, then I'd make that trade.

The Cubs 2015 cannot be compared to our 2019. I do agree with you though. People forget the Cubs played in 3 straight NLCS'.
