Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
Wait what? If Eloy is healthy and he will be, he is back. Yermin can rotate DH and 1B and pinch hit late in games.

Rodon
No way he would have agreed to an option. And with Covid cost part 2 I don't see teams going more than 3 and 45 with him. The injury history is scary and this is his one great season thus far.

Rodon
We are in a new year. Owners aren't paying big dollar for an injury prone pitcher who would have one very good year in a contract year. He may get a 2 and 36 or a 3 and 45, but in this climate that would be about it. We have 3 years before our young guys get crazy expensive so there is no reason we can't re-sign Rodon and Lynn to 3 year or less deals.

Rodon
He won't get a big deal from anyone. He will basically need a QO prove it deal. He is still young enough to get a big payday if he is very good this year and next year.

Rodon
There is a chance. Hed probably get a QO and accept it. The Sox may offer him and Lynn 2 years and 25-30 million. Lynn has age and Rodon has injury history.

Yeah, when you watch the defense our corner guys have played over the years a decent catch looks amazing.

I'm not so sure. Yermin has given us 5 so maybe Eloy doubles that if he got off to a great start.

We got a run. Now hold them to 0 Rodon. If they don't score we win!

He looked very powerful at the alternate site.

Yep. Our outfield may not homer in May and our second baseman may not either. Hell, our starting catcher may not either.

Well Cave is in DFA territory. But maybe they put him out there.

They are gonna play Larnach in CF.

Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
He went from day to day to weeks. This will probably be a two month situation. No way they can rush him back sooner than that. Sucks for him as he was playing outstanding again.

Madrigal.
I'm holding off my judging of Nick's slugging until the end of next year. I have no idea if he can improve it or not, but I'm willing to be patient. His defense and base running are improving, but I want to see top notch play in those areas. He can be a special player even if he doesn't hit homers.

Addressing the OF shortage (Robert Injury Spinoff)
The only saving grace for us is Minnesota is 8 games under 500. Had Minnesota played to their abilities and been 19-11 instead, we may be in big trouble. The Twins will spend at least the next month trying to get over .500, which gives us time to figure things out. Cleveland and KC can play decent ball but they can't run away with anything.

Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
One of my closest friends is a physical therapist at ATI and said unless Robert's injury was catastrophic and our medical team sucks, he would make a full recovery. That is why I posted I was confident in his full recovery. He also said it was a person to person process in terms of heal time.
