nah I think he's saying a well-liked player is getting traded

with that being said, he's probably full of 💩

This team is flailing right now. It is likely the end for this rebuild and contention window. We were far behind too many teams when the season ended, And those teams keep getting better.

Bleh. Really don’t like the idea but if the return is good enough I guess….very much one step backwards, to hopefully take one step forward (use the $ towards a real OF) type move.

This is a salary dump most likely. We aren't getting any useful pieces for him unless he is a part of a deal with Vaughn or Eloy.

That is really insane for a pitcher. This is one area I agree with JR. Develop your own or get them in short term deals for big bucks - long term with massive bucks is just so risky.

We are used to being cheap. It's always better to sign elite players when you can. We sign guys past their primes looking to catch lightning and that rarely works.

Giolito put up 11.3 fWAR from 2019 to 2021 over 72 starts.  This ranked 7th in all of baseball.  And now some people are eager to dump him after a season in which he put 1.8 fWAR and a 3.65 xFIP.  You won’t find a better value for $10M next year than Lucas Giolito.  He won’t be an ace, but take #2 or #3 type starter production on the cheap for a year and then place a QO on him.  That’s probably the best path forward with him.

2020 may have skewed his stats playing against crap opponents with minimal pressure. On a team trying to win a World Series he is a 3, maybe a 4 at this point. But that is well worth his current salary, not 200 million that he probably wanted last year.

99% of Hahn criticism is valid, but Pollock was coming off a 3 WAR season & 2 consecutive years with a wRC+ of 130 or higher. It was impossible to foresee him falling off a cliff like this.

How many aging, slow and injured players does Hahn have to acquire before he realizes they rarely work out for us?

  6. Hahn is need desperate need of firing from his GM role. He can move somewhere else within the organization. I have no faith that he can ball on a budget.

Jerry has been the worst performing owner in baseball and basketball for 40 years with plenty of payroll ... he will get it right now because?

FIFY. His entire legacy is lucking into Jordan in basketball.

    And two starting pitchers

I am confident in only one of our starting pitchers going into next season and that is Cease. I'm not sure what we are getting from Gio or Kopech. Not sure if Lynn is gonna bounce back or be another DK
