  1. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 31, 2016 -> 08:55 PM) Nice quick out, two more to go Nate. it is nearly impossible for this bullpen to pitch a clean inning when the Sox have a lead.
  2. Remember when Abreu was a dangerous hitter? Seems like a long long time ago.
  3. Can the "power" arms of the Sox bullpen actually get 6 outs?
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 31, 2016 -> 08:31 PM) Sooner Avi is gone the better. Add Rollins, Avila, Navarro, Duke, Albers, Sands to that list as well.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2016 -> 08:08 PM) Thought Abreu got that. Not even close. Looking like another game with no RBI Gordon Beckham has a higher OPS than Abreu. Looking more and more like Abreu just isn't gonna hit this year.
  6. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ May 30, 2016 -> 04:26 PM) Step 1 should be getting new FO management. The Sox overhauling the system with the same people in place is only bound to fail yet again. I'm in agreement with firing Hahn and KW but you still gotta fire Ventura first, if only to see what Renteria can do as a manager. I would not trust Hahn or KW in the rebuild of this organization. A torches to the ground rebuild needs to happen though. Winning 70- 75 games a year with no end in sight isn't working.
  7. QUOTE (bulokis @ May 30, 2016 -> 04:04 PM) We should not be trading for players. The in between rebuilding and competing is not working. Exactly! This organization and team needs a complete makeover. Step one is firing Ventura. Step 2 is starting to dismantle the team once they are 7-8 games out in Mid-July. Trading Sale, Q, Rodon, Frazier, Eaton, Abreu, Lawrie, Robertson, and Melky will bring a ton of prospects. The haul from all the trades plus 3-4 years of top 3 draft picks should make this team a force to be reckoned with come 2021 or so!
  8. QUOTE (harkness @ May 30, 2016 -> 03:56 PM) right it's exactly a C- or D. The whole team is right around the C- or D grade. April is long gone and the shortcomings of this team have been exposed big time. They will most likely finish the year around 75 wins. C's may get degrees but they don't lead to Division championships.
  9. Picking up a pitcher who is owed 40 million over the next two years is a terrible idea. This Sox team is way too flawed this year and has no chance to realistically compete with such a bad bullpen and massive holes at SS, C, and DH.
  10. QUOTE (juddling @ May 28, 2016 -> 05:15 PM) Jerry Reinsdorf......over the years you have proven time and time again to be a very loyal friend to your former players (on both the NBA and MLB side of things.) As a lifelong Sox fan I have to ask and implore you to (for once) be loyal to your FANS and fire RV posthaste. His constant baffling pitch selection is only outdone by his complete and utter mismanagement of his bullpen time and time again resulting in a embarrassment of national proportions over the last two to three weeks. You say your one World Series victory was sweeter than your 6 NBA championships yet you continue to inflict this scourge know as the Robin Ventura era continue well past the point it should have ended. Ozzie won you your blessed World Series trophy and yet you still managed to identify when it was time for him to go, so your unwillingness to let RV go is mind-boggling. Rick Renteria is on your bench waiting his turn to manage this club. I thought he did a pretty good job with the Cubs and would have probably still been there is Maddon didn't suddenly become available so at this point of the season, what do you have to lose by making the switch??? I'll tell you....the only thing you have to lose is what few fans you have left in this town if something isn't done ASAP Quality post buy unfortunately Jerry doesn't have time for the common man. Both the Bulls and Sox are floundering organizations. Firing Ventura ain't gonna happen cause that would could lead to a domino effect where other top management is scrutinized for their poor performance. Something is rotten in Denmark and at 35th&Shields.
  11. A big no to taking on that Shields contract. This team will be 7 or 8 games out come Mid-July most likely. There is no way to overcome such bad managing and such a bad bullpen.
  12. This game may end up being a pretty one in Sox history. It is time to throw out any thoughts of Hahn or KW's "3 year" plan. No need to trade for Shields or take on any expensive contracts. This team has absolutely no chance to compete in the Central anytime soon. Cleveland is going be very good for the next 2-3 years and KC is just KC. They own the Sox and that doesn't look like it is going to end any time soon. Step one=Fire Ventura immediately. Step 2= fire KW and Hahn in the offseason. Step 3 = start the rebuild
  13. This is a bad bad baseball team with a bad bad manager. They will not win another series against KC or Cleveland all year. Time to start thinking about all the prospects Sale, Q, Frazier, Robertson, Abreu, Eaton, and Melky can bring in.
  14. This Sox team couldn't even beat the Royals AAA team. All Sox players are programmed to pee down the side of their leg at the mere mention of KC
  15. New guy here! Maybe it is time to start thinking about how this team will be sellers instead of buyers? This is a bad baseball team that played one good month of baseball. There are way too many holes to fill and not enough pieces in the farm to get it done. -catcher tandem needs an upgrade- dfa Avila and let him go play for his Dad -ss needs an upgrade- Rollins is toast and Saladino is the textbook definition of a utility player -Cf needs an upgrade- Austin Jackson is a 4th OF at best -DH needs an upgrade- Hahn's golden boy is not good and never will be -Bullpen is a complete wasteland outside of Robertson and Jones. If Albers, Duke, and Jennings were released would anyone else even bother to pick them up? -3rd, 4th, and 5th starters are shaky and and another arm is needed there. There is no possible way that all these holes can be addressed during the season. Way to go Hahn and KW. The Sox are bringing a rusty Red Ryder bb gun to a shootout where everyone else has a Colt 45 or Magnum 44.
