I'd love to see Zook get fired regardless of how this game and the season ends up. He is just a bad football coach. -

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Oct 21, 2011 -> 06:38 AM) You should be able to blame someone for allowing Wisconsin to schedule every nonconference game at home. 8 home games vs 4 away? Come on That really isn't that uncommon in college football. Illinois had the same scheduling this year for what its worth. Wisconsin scheduling weak teams in their non-conference is a bigger deal than not playing away from home. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 15, 2011 -> 06:00 PM) Ok. Two plays are all that mattered. Good game, see you boys on the hardwood. Jenkins had 8 catches for 80 yards. He wasn't shut down and he was being double teamed. I'm trying to figure out how anything in that game showed he wasn't special or that Roby shut him down in any sense of the word. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 15, 2011 -> 05:52 PM) LOL, what was dirty about it. He was about to get beat deep for a TD so he hit his guy out of bounds. Smart play by a freshman that completely backed up his talk in the papers. No he really didn't. He wasn't covering Jenkins on the play he had his interception and Jenkins was wide open on that play, that was just a brutal throw by Scheelhaase. And then of course he got killed by Jenkins on that deep route and if that is the NFL that is a 40 yard penalty (which it should be, that rule in college is ridiculous). -

Ron Zook is such a f***ing idiot. Also, Paul Petrino was brutal today. No idea why they were so conservative on offense today. Not going for it on the 4th and short in the first half and punting set the tone for the rest of the game on offense. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 15, 2011 -> 03:39 PM) Pretty amazing to me that it's been almost 2 quarters and OSU has attempted one pass. Yet they're still winning Petrino's play calling has been brutal on offense and the entire game plan has been way too conservative. -

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Oct 11, 2011 -> 11:32 AM) That's true, they hardly ever surprise the defense. I would also add that teams like GB and NO have some many weapons that the defense usually don't focus on Cobb or Sproles, making their plays more effective. We don't have that with the Bears. They also have offensive lines that don't consistently get blown up and commit penalties. -

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 10, 2011 -> 11:04 PM) This is sarcastic, right? I just want to be sure. Nope. I don't think he is a special coach but the Bears have been fairly successful during his tenure here despite having very little offensive talent. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 10, 2011 -> 10:14 PM) Two reasons: 1) idiotic fans still think Lovie is a good coach 2) idiotic fans continue to go to games and don't hold ownership responsible for putting a s*** team on the field season after season. Zero accountability. Lucking into an NFC championship game = 3 year extension despite being terrible. I'd love to hear your argument as to why you don't consider Lovie a good coach because he clearly is. 56% winning percentage, two NFC championship game appearances and a Super Bowl appearance despite having terrible offensive personnel his entire tenure with the Bears. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 10, 2011 -> 08:23 PM) I'm with you here. This offense is amazingly bad. Cutler is a waste in this offense. I still can't believe that an organization can be stupid enough to trade for a franchise type quarterback and then do nothing at all to help him succeed. -

Wow, Nebraska comes back to tie it. Huge chokejob by OSU (albeit one aided by having to bring in one of the worst QBs in college football). -

Miller just got hurt for OSU, if he can't come back then suddenly NU has life because Bauserman is an absolute joke. -

QUOTE (zenryan @ Oct 8, 2011 -> 09:20 PM) Has Nebraska ever had a good defense under Bo? I cant even find an adjective to describe how bad's Miami defense is and they atleast looked good against OSU. Their defenses have been great the last two years. Two years ago I believe they had the #1 ranked defense in the country. Of course it helps when you have Suh, Amukamara, etc. on your roster. -

Hitting Alex Rodriguez cleanup that entire season when he had barely played the last month and clearly was overmatched was just awful managing. -

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 09:26 PM) Yeah when Northwestern can shutdown the run option I think that shows it isn't legit unless you have first round talent at RB position(Rashard Mendenhall). Um...Illinois has been running a ton of option since Zook got to Illinois and we have led the Big 10 in rushing over the last 3 years. The read option is very effective in the Big 10. Michigan scored a ton of points last year running the option. You just have to have the threat of throwing as well. -

Absolutely incredible comeback. Illinois should have started throwing the ball a lot earlier. NW was selling out on the run the entire game after being embarrassed last year and leaving themselves open to the pass. So instead their defense got embarrassed by giving up an Illinois receiving yards record this year. -

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) Hopefully 2 things come from this game, Illini start playing offense in first half and Ford gets less playing time. Ford shouldn't see the field again. He is terrible. Time to start the Donovonn Young era and then give the other carries to Pollard and Ferguson.
