  1. And the low's tend to outweigh the high's. Jose really never stays hot for a long period of time but for the week he is hot he puts up huge numbers. He would be a nice utilityman but I hope we can improve the position in the offseason.
  2. I'm sorry, but I just got home from a chem lab can someone give me a quick game summary.

I had just finished changing after P.E., and someone said something about a plane crashing into the WTC. I had no idea what was going on. I walked into the foyer and there was probably about 150 people watching any of the 3 TVs. I was stunned at what happened. I went to my 3rd period class and we spent the entire hour and a half watching the news. I can still remember the silence and then the gasps when the towers fell. Our principal then came over the loud speaker and reported all the news that was pouring in. She then told teachers that they should continue with classes and not watch TV, a decision that to this day still annoys me. Well, I decided to go home during lunch and I basically just sat and watched TV for about 10 straight hours.
  4. The Indians have gone to a six man rotation so it throws everything off track.
  5. Cubs now trail the Expos 6-4.
  6. Base hit for Graf, lets go Carlos.
  7. Cleveland leads KC 6-3.
  8. Cubs now lead only 4-2. 5 straight walks, the Cubs still have a no hitter.
  9. In other news, Matt Clement leaves the game with a no hitter after walking the bases loaded in the 6th. Mark Guthrie in to relieve him.
  10. I wasn't upset either. He did stay with Paniagua a little to long but no harm no foul. Personally I probably would have just stayed with Schoenweiss.
  11. I think it is now quite obvious why Paniagua couldn't catch on with either Tampa Bay or Detroit. Wow that was terrible.
  12. I'm not even worried about the Royals anymore.
  13. 3-0 on one of the luckiest base hits you will ever see. Way to go Tony G.
  14. Way to go Joe 1-0 White Sox. Men on second and third with only 1 out.
  15. I really like the player Carlos has become. It looks like he might finally be living up to the potential everyone thought he had.
  16. I said stat for pitchers. Hudson has had a bunch of games blown by his bullpen this year. Does the fact that he has less wins than Moyer mean that Moyer is having a better year? Stop playing around with words and answer the question.
  17. So according to your theory that wins are the most important stat for a pitcher, your feel that Jaime Moyer and Andy Pettite are having better years than Tim Hudson or Pedro Martinez?

Playing safety in college is far different than in the NFL. To play strong safety you don't need great cover skills but Urlacher's would be terrible for a safety.
  19. Yes, he has 7 wins but against 5 losses, not exactly a great win percentage. And he didn't quit against the Cubs. He told Manuel to have someone ready in the bullpen in case he got into trouble. This was because of the San Fransisco game in which Colon ran out of gas and gave up 5 runs in the 9th because manuel had no one up in the bullpen.
  20. I would if that was possible. Its kind of hard when I have class and its a 3 hour drive from Champaign.

Urlacher can't cover well enough to play safety. Also, that leaves us with one legit linebacker in Holdman. I haven't even seen Urlacher be able to cover running backs or tight ends. I can't imagine him being able to cover an NFL wideout if they go 4 wide which is very common.
  22. Colon is 16th in ERA, 6th in Ks, 12th in wins, 2nd in complete games, 3rd in innings pitched, and 8th in WHIP. No he hasn't been the ace I was expecting, but you could make the case he has been among the top 10 starting pitchers in the AL this year and thats not to bad.
  23. I don't think he has that good of a shot either, but who has been more valuable to any team in the AL this year.
