QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 09:29 PM) Who will Foley fight? Vengeance Raw world title match. It is still sketchy and I didn't really understand it all. Any current or former champ on the Raw roster can be involved in that match. -

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 09:22 PM) I didn't hear Foley! What'd he say? What'd Hart say? Captain Lou Albano? eww. Hart said the only good thing for McMahon was repeated punches to the side of the head. Foley said that he'd be part of the main event at Vengeance if he was still on Raw at the end of the show. He ripped into McMahon, went through a list of people that declined to do the appreciation night. When they mentioned Hogan, he got booed. It was a solid promo. Torrie Wilson and Khali need to do a King Kong gimmick. -

This Raw is great. Bob Costas with a good promo. If they turn Lashley heel and give him a good manager (Heyman?) and push it right, it could be solid. Cena, as much as I don't like his push, I do like his efforts to get better in the ring. -

And the diva match was again entertaining for what it was. Raw gets their pick and it is: Bobby Lashley goes to Raw. Lashley stripped of the ECW World Title! HAHAHAHAHA. This night just gets better and better. -

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 08:50 PM) It's interesting whenever I remember to watch it, but even a house-bound, old married f*** like me has better stuff to do on a Friday night than watch rasslin'. When I do watch it, Vickie Guerrero usually scares me away. GORE! GORE! GORE! That Heenan promo was gold. He's such an amazing talent. /bows to Heenan -

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 08:46 PM) ...but....but....JBL just told me that SuckDown is the A Show!!! SmackDown was actually a pretty entertaining show to watch -- moreso than Raw recently -- because they are allowing a heel to have a long run with the belt. This raid on their talent though is really stumping me. What the Hell are they going to do with Khali and Torrie? -

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 08:42 PM) Torrie was a better acquisition than The Khali. We have a SNITSKY sighting! BACK ACNE alert!!! Snitsky = Create-A-Wrestler and not the good Chikara gimmick. Hahahaha the MIZ beat Snitsky! (by DQ but still!) The Masterpiece to the B show. That's a demotion. -

SD! gets Torrie Wilson. SmackDown is getting f***ing hosed worse than a civil rights worker in 1960's Mississippi. -

Bookah is Raw. Benoit is ECW. And Moolah and Mae Young are ruining what has been a pretty amusing Raw so far. It has actually been fairly well done. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 03:54 PM) Really? I thought he was never going to appear for the WWE again. I believe a few of them, including Hart, are taped video pieces about their opinions of McMahon. And why is the draft such a huge shakeup? Lashley is regularly on Raw and ECW, Matt Hardy is regularly on Raw and SD! It just seems like it is going to help the aforementioned interbrand work less obvious. -
QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 09:15 PM) Wikipedia? Pah-lease. I'm looking forward to Sepinwall's write up. I think the guy walking past the table to the bathroom signified that the paranoia with NY is gone. We see it at the end of movies all the time. I just laughed at the "worse than the Seinfeld finale" comment...

In the last episode, Phil Leotardo is killed, while Tony seems to have hidden successfully. He comes out of hiding to spend time with his family in a restaurant in the last few minutes of the final episode, while suspicious-looking assailents enter the building, possibly to do something dramatic in order to kill Tony. There is then a minute or so of a black screen before the credits, so that what happened is not actually established. Worse than the Seinfeld Finale. From wikipedia.com

QUOTE(whitesox91403 @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 07:51 PM) Not much into ROH like some others here. I just have recently done a little readin on the promotion. What was the basis behind their "Pure Champion" and why was it merged with The Heavyweight title? Pure title info... 3 rope breaks per wrestler. Once they are out, they cannot rely on the ropes to break a submission or pin attempt. Strict 20 count on the floor. No closed fists to the face. First time is a warning, second time that wrestler loses a rope break and if they have none left, they are DQ'ed. Closed fists to other body parts were permitted but none to the face -- slaps and thrusts were okay. The Pure Title could change hands on a DQ or count out to make sure that they would very likely be a clean, pure finish to the match. The reason they got rid of the belt is that Nigel McGuinness was a genius with it and did damn near everything that they could with the belt and it really established him as a very talented wrestler in his nearly year long run. -

There was a great part of Impact on Thursday between Nash and Black Machismo... Black Machismo: "Yeah! Slammiversary is near!" Kevin Nash: "Do you even know who you got?" BM: "Mmmhmmm! Snake Roberts!" KN: "No, you don't have Snake Roberts, you got Sabin." [pause] BM: "but Snake Roberts ruined my wedding..." -
I don't think this says a whole lot about Bush. I do think it says a lot about his prep staff to get him ready for these sort of meetings/PR events. You'd figure that the prep staff would try to hammer that sort of stuff in before the meetings.

QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 12:24 AM) Just watched the Whitmer/Jacobs cage match from Supercard of Honor II...as Joey Styles would say. OH MY GOD! The best match i've seen so far this year. Did you see the resulting Jimmy Loves Lacey videos they had on www.rohvideos.com? I saw the last one and laughed my ass off at the end of Day 4's. And Brian -- there are good technical wrestlers (Hart, Storm etc. etc.) and there are terrible professional wrestlers (i.e. Orton) Hell, even the Messiah of the Cravate, Chris Hero, is more entertaining in the ring than Orton. -

QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 09:42 PM) I saw the sign that edition of Raw. Just another fan who knows nothing about wrestling psychology. There is one thing to be said for wrestling psychology. There is something else to not stepping up one's game and not being boring as Hell. Guys like Lance Storm, Danielson, Malenko, Mysterio etc. etc. etc. are damn good technical wrestlers but can put on a show stealer when they should and pull the necessary spots out being heel or face. They can pop the crowd and keep them interested instead of having people get up to take a piss or change the channel. I don't even want to see him get a comeuppance as a heel either. He's just bland. Orton is just on snooze control and cruising with terrible mic skills (It is difficult to be a cocky heel when you can't cut a promo to save your life or get yourself a manager to cover up that minus) He'd be another bland mid-card heel if it weren't for his last name and political connections to HHH. -

Geez...I recently got a speeding ticket for going 44 in a 35 and the cop pulling me over right as the limit changed from 35 to 30 saying I went 44 in a 30. I then went to get court supervision for it and seven police officers (including two bailiffs) and two court clerks had no idea how I'd go about doing it. Then a court clerk without his head up his ass helped me out and told me that they would process it and I'd get my notification of my traffic school date in 2 to 10 weeks. How fast would I have been arrested if I told the state that it would take me time to process my finances and they'd get their check in 2 to 10 weeks?

QUOTE(longshot7 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 03:11 AM) Yes, that one. It might not be the MOTY, but it should def be included in the discussion, and considering how bad WWE's matches have been of late, I wouldn't be surprised to see it in the top 10 at the end of the year. What else deserves to be in that discussion so far? Harris/Storm Texas Death Match at TNA Sacrifice Angle/Joe Ironman at TNA Final Resolution MITB at Wrestlemania? that's about all I can think of so far. It's too bad that TNA doesn't have more, but the way they're booking right now, I shouldn't be surprised. The Danielson/CIMA match I saw last week in PWG was up there for me, but most people won't see it. I also assume there will be a few matches from ROH's Five Year DVDs, but I haven't watched them yet. Any others so far? I think you could probably put Whitmer/Jacobs from Supercard of Honor II or Cabana/Jacobs from FYF: Chicago in there as well. -
http://www.cnn.com/2007/LAW/06/05/anonymou...s.ap/index.html I'm a bit torn on this. The government sunshine-lover in me would like to see the identities of these people be made public (at least to some extent) to ensure botches don't happen. (i.e. They point to the case of Dr. Alan Doerhoff, a participant in Missouri executions who was revealed in news reports to have been sued for malpractice more than 20 times. The state is no longer using his services.) However, the personal privacy supporter thinks that they should have a right to privacy and not necessarily have their names made public so they aren't harassed within the community if they do make a mistake or by zealots. Being a teacher, I understand that there is not a 100% guarantee of personal privacy for me (community standards laws, etc. in IL -- If I say or do something that goes against the standards of the community, I can face either firing or remediation through my school district) having a government job but that is one of the parts of my job I don't like and wouldn't like to see it extended and blur the line of personal and professional. Thoughts?
