  1. Atl Journal Constitution says that police stated that they were not shot to death but would not say anything else than that as to cause of death.
  2. QUOTE(Shadows @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 07:34 PM) Only if they show the matches when Orton stepped in I thought they also did some best of 7 in WCW too. And thank god too...We're already sad, we don't need f***ing restholds.
  3. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 07:22 PM) What are the chances they will show Benoit vs. Liger from Starrcade 95? Um... Possible matches (?) WrestleMania XX vs HHH vs HBK Something from ECW Something from WCW (probably his Horsemen time) We'll likely also get when the Radicalz showed up on WWE shows and one of the first SD! matches where he wrestled. I'd hope they'd also go for some of the Best of 7 with Booker T.
  4. Vince chose the right thing and came out there talking about the demise of his character and paid tribute to Benoit. Good thing that they have such an extensive video library to go to to get his best matches for the show along with some of the wrestlers that want to speak. They made the right decision to not let a damn one of them in the ring.
  5. http://youtube.com/watch?v=fxUyXTW3_2g Great Benoit tribute vid. Unfortunately my embedding skillz are not too good.
  6. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 06:42 PM) LCR ignores Daylight Savings Time cuz HE'S HARDCORE!! HE'S HARDCORE!!! LOL. That timing schedule is mine....and come Monday, I'm gonna be needing it back. You say your name is daylight's savings time and your job is to give us an extra hour of daylight. I say your name is daylight's savings time and you're a bathturd!
  7. QUOTE(Shadows @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 06:36 PM) Is Raw still starting at 7 tonight? It's supposed to be a three hour Raw so 7 CST should be the start time.
  8. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 06:28 PM) If anyone in the McMahon family had souls, I bet they would feel bad. But that family has plunged the depths of poor taste so many times, and for so long, I doubt they feel much of anything right now. Vince needs to be out there on the show and bring everybody together like he did with Eddie, storylines be damned.
  9. Some people on the WC boards are reporting that fans are being turned away from the arena tonight. This is the longest hour before Raw that there's been in a while (well, 2 years). And we've got mainstream Atlanta area sites covering it: http://www.wsbtv.com/news/13567642/detail.html
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 05:40 PM) Two theories have already gone through my mind. The first is murder-suicide (which is always my first theory in instances where a couple are found dead). The second is that perhaps Benoit's family problem that forced him to leave the PPV was that his wife passed and he was overcome and took his own life. I understand I shouldn't be making assumptions already, but that's just what first crossed my mind. This is a huge loss to the wrestling world. Even those that weren't particularly big fans of Benoit have to understand that he's one of the greats of all time. RIP, Chris. And prayers to everyone involved. I can't find anything online about Benoit having children. Right now it sounds like his family is just his wife. I hope there aren't kids involved. Confirmed Benoit, Nancy (his wife) and their son. Damn, damn, damn...
  11. If I was a kid, I'd probably enjoy the Cena booking a lot more. Think back to how we marked for Hogan when we were little. I just smile that Edge has the strap and no more Batista to go after it on shows for a while. Plus, ROH shows are more than enough awesome. I just got my meathooks on FYF:NY. I was happy with Morishima vs Joe but the match of the night for me was the Albright vs Whitmer Tables are Legal match. Albright has himself a good gimmick of being the hired gun badass brawler. When BJ Whitmer just lets himself be a brawler rather than a technical wrestler, he's much more entertaining. Too bad he's being jobbed out now and barely got any reaction last night against Marufuji. http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/searc...r-tables-are-le
  12. Edge wins via countout. NO MORE TITLE SHOTS FOR BATISTA!
  13. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 08:40 PM) Deuce & Domino retain in a snoozer How dare you say that about the Andrew Dice Clay impersonators! HEY! THEY NEEDED THE MONEY! OOOH!
  14. Marella goes over Umaga via DQ. Umaga just beat his ass and wouldn't listen to the ref. So we've had Cade/Murdoch retain Chavo retains Nitro wins a vacant title Marella retains
  15. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 08:01 PM) During the first moments of the match they had a pretty good "We want Benoit!" chant going. If you're mad, this will channel your anger appropriately.
  16. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 07:54 PM) Nitro's the new ECW champ....i'm gonna throw things. I wonder if the crowd live s*** on this match as much as it sounds like they did. 3 straight heel victories so far.
  17. Chikara's character Create-A-Wrestler has finally been given his gimmick. Moscow, the Communist Bovine. God, I love Chikara.
  18. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 03:28 PM) thanks for the ROH report - maybe I'll make it out for the Sept 15th show. But is that right - two PPV tapings in a row there? As for Vengeance, Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported the plan yesterday was for Sgt. Slaughter & Jimmy Snuka to wrestle Deuce & Domino - so we'll see. Yes. They taped the 2nd PPV last night and announced that Chicago gets the 3rd PPV on Sept. 15 as well.
  19. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 12:43 PM) That was a PPV taping, right? How big is the building they run in? There were about 900-1000 in there comfortably for the show. When they ran Supercard of Honor there during WrestleMania when it was in Chicago, they had 1800+ in there somehow. The PPV was quite solid and definitely worth the $10 for it.
  20. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 11:46 AM) I read the Briscoes/Generico & Steen match was insane, without giving spots away....can you give me the awesomeness of this match. It was incredible. The match was so well done and the near falls/action kept everybody on their feet wanting more. It was really damn cool. The ending of the match was fantastic. It wasn't the best match I've ever seen but it was damn good and an especially good way to start the feud. KENTA/AmDrag was fantastic. Even the botches were flawless because they got changed into different moves on the fly. The only somewhat disappointing match was Marufuji vs Whitmer. Nobody has any reason to care about Whitmer. Some comedy stuff too when Jimmy came out and there was a big "You got laid!" chant for him. And Adam Pearce was f***ing gold. It was hilarious. Hero and Nigel was good too. Bobby Dempsey doing the lunges and calisthenics at ringside was fun. Sweet and Sour Inc. is really turning in to a good stable to get some of the established stars and some of the students over as well. Castagnoli and Sydal was another solid match. The finish was breathtaking. The start of the match was pretty funny. CC started pointing to different sides of the ring and there was a "Heeeeyyyy!" accompanied by every point from the audience. Then he got everybody doing the wave for some reason. During the match, he stopped and was asking the crowd for what moves they wanted to see. It was like "Bicycle kick?" and then gauged the audience reaction to the suggestion before going for it. It was hilarious. But such quality wrestling from the Most Money Making Man. And ROH is taping the 3rd PPV in Chicago on Sept. 15. Overall, it was a damn solid show without a lot of holes in it at all. Plus, it was fun of being like one of the two dozen people there cheering for Hero in his match and giving a standing ovation for the multiple uses of the cravate.
  21. That ROH live show was amazing. Show started with a 6 man tag of Delirious/Resilience vs NRC. The place almost had the roof blow off of it when Aries came in. Even the SHIMMER match was entertaining. The show was so damn awesome. I can't wait to see it on DVD.
  22. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 09:53 PM) Why is the internet marking out for Austin Aries signing with ROH again? He was nothing special from what I saw in TNA. Because his matches in ROH from Generation Next to his most recent title match against Morishima are damn good. TNA never had enough time or allowed Aries to be pushed. When Aries came into the ring, the roof nearly blew off the place. It was electric in there live. Here's a little quality Aries to wet your whistle to his ROH style. Aries vs CM Punk (Death Before Dishonor III) http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/searc...ries-vs-cm-punk
  23. QUOTE(vandy125 @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 08:14 AM) I'm curious if other people feel the same way as me (since this thread has already been hijacked). I usually go to help out at a soup kitchen or donate my money to the United Way instead of handing my money out to the homeless on the street. I just feel uncomfortable with that because I'm not sure of where that money will go. Anyone feel the same way, or do you have no qualms about giving a bit of money to someone on the street? Maybe I am overreacting. I try to have change with me when I'm out so if I happen to see somebody who needs some $, I can use that to give them or if there is a food place nearby, I use it to go get them some food from there. Then, I also do some work in the local area to help at a few places.
  24. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 12:29 PM) Well I almost always blame America first. We're an Empire its what we do. We f*** with other nations. I like Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez. I don't apologize for it like most wussy democrats. Boo rightist totalitarianism! Yay "leftist" totalitarianism!
