QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 04:33 PM) Other than the HBK match on raw, which one? That RR match against Umaga was pretty entertaining. I dunno if it was match of the year quality but it was pretty entertaining with a unique ending. -

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 12:50 PM) His trachea probably just quit from frustration during a typically horrible Steiner promo. Remember Hirojima? Or when Pearl Harbor bombed the Germans? What does it say about the Univ. of Michigan that they gave him a degree? And Scott Steiner hungry! -
Speaking of comic movies, am I the only one who would love to see a "Preacher" film? I know I am dreaming at the possibility of it coming out but it would be so awesome.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 01:39 AM) "I'm here about the blow job" Funniest.T Shirt.Ever and yes, T Shirt Hell is the goods...unless you're easily offended. My personal favorite shirt there is the Falwell "Dick in a Box" one.

Having seen all of them so far, I still think that the 1989 original is the best. Batman Begins was good but I couldn't buy Cillian Murphy. It's scary to think that Murphy was once considered for the Bruce Wayne role. And I can't wait for the Joker. Best Batman villain.

This episode of Raw... Cena going to overcome the odds again - CHECK Vince dominating the show as the top heel that shows the show's lack of main event talent - CHECK Battle of the Conway popping tag teams - CHECK And there's talk that Khali is going to be Cena's opponent at Vengeance. He made him tap to the STFU. He pinned him clean in the gimmick match already. What is left in that feud? Cena won it! My kingdom for Lashley to get a monster heel push, a heel manager and give him a monster run against Cena. I know, the kind of thing has been done so I figure we just call him Choc Lesnar. Perhaps getting Brock and have Ebony and Ivory? -

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 01:40 PM) Benoit bores THE HELL out of me. I haven't found him interesting in years. This is true too. The only spot I look forward to is Air Canada/the top rope headbutt. -

QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 10:32 AM) I guess if you want to call a guy who sells moves well, has great ring psychology, and is a natural arrogant heel, boring, than ok. Orton is a throwback. Remember when you didn't have to be good on the mic to be good. I guess all the "smarks" hate Benoit as well cuz he is boring on the mic as well. He's a cocky, arrogant heel that is in desperate need of a manager to be a mouthpiece for him. I just don't really like what Orton does in the ring, his finisher is so overused in wrestling and his ring work is bland -- and not in the Danielson "f*** you, this is how I wrestle with strategic holds working over a body part/submissions" way and even if he did, he doesn't have the charisma of the Danielsons. His ring work is like seeing a bearded lady -- we've seen it, now shave it. He needs to step up his game and show that he can work more than his formulaic work thus far. -

QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 10:21 PM) i am so sick of him. i wish khali woulda beat his @$$ Hey Cena, 80's Hogan called and he wants his gimmick back. Man, at least in the 80's, I could enjoy it because I was a little kid...and the adults could enjoy it because at least they had the wit and comedics of guys like Heenan to make the heels interesting and fun for the smarks. But supposedly the ladder match with the WGTT and Hardyz was something to see. -

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 06:57 PM) I predict total failure for the "real referee" experiment. The problem isn't with the refs, it's in the fact that too many of their "superstars" can't work. And it all comes back around to Vince's "HOSS" mentality - if he'd genuinely push smaller guys, who've had to work to develop themselves into convincing wrestlers, more believable matches would follow naturally. Exactly. The ref is supposed to dictate pacing and tell guys when to take it home for time constraints. However, he won't be able to do that if he doesn't know the freaking finish to the match. I mean, I watch ROH shows and it is so much fun to watch not exactly huge guys put on very entertaining matches that are believable -- the Danielsons, the Jimmy Jacobs, M Dogg 20, the Delerii etc. It just makes the guys like Morishima seem that much more huge and holy crap is "That Girl" Takeshi Morishima a f***ing big motherf***er. Critic, you need to the see FYF: Chicago Windy City Death Match between Colt Cabana and Jimmy Jacobs. The feud was done so well in the series of singles matches, tag matches etc. that the gimmick matches add such a big element to the feud -- that it can't end with a regular match so they need something more hardcore to do it. The way ROH books feuds is really old school style and makes it really entertaining to watch. They don't rely on hardcore but when they use it, it has a big impact because it means that it is important to the ring psychology and the psychology of the feud being promoted to the fans. And get ready to riot Brian, Van Dam beat Orton but then got laid out by the "Legend Killer". The Originals/Punk won the tables match against the New Breed as well. -

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 05:43 PM) Apparently YOU didn't see Ozzie's MASSIVE chair shot to Simon Diamond! Ozzie = EXXXXXXTREEEEEEEEEME!!!!!!!! Ozzie's chair shot = stiffer than the Van Daminator done to Angle on ECW in one of the first shows (the one where RVD whiffed and Angle still sold) Val Puccio was just on TLC for a show about the morbidly obese. He's gotten up to 700 lbs. now and is really trying to lose the weight. And for ONS, supposedly RVD/Orton is going to curtain jerk the show. And from PWI: In the last couple of weeks WWE has been trying something new with the referees in their house show undercard matches. In an attempt to make matches seem less scripted, WWE will no longer be informing referees of the finish of matches before hand. The matches are now to be treated like legitimate fights more than scripted performances. Now if a wrestler doesn't get his shoulder up quick enough in a near fall situation and the ref counts three, that's the finish and the wrestler who failed to do his part will take the blame for it. It is going to force heels to work harder to cheat behind the referee's back so you won't see any more awkward "referee sees the guy still cheating and turns back around" spots. This isn't happening on TV or PPVs yet, but this is the trial period for now during house shows to see how this works. -

QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ May 30, 2007 -> 04:44 PM) Cena and Ron Killings aka K-Kwik had a confrontation at a Charlotte airport. Kane v. Mark Henry in a Lumberjack Match added to ONS Oh, and you can blame HHH for this Orton push. HHH wants to feud with Orton so the plan is to make him look as strong as possible. Orton v RVD in a stretcher match on ONS too. And Punk, Sandman, and Dreamer vs Cor Von, Striker, and Burke in a tables match. -

Is anybody else liking this Cade and Murdoch angle? I am a big Murdoch mark, so I really enjoy seeing him on my TV. He kind of reminds me of a Stan Hansen type. This new angle has me laughing every time because I am just waiting for them to turn heel again. -

Great interview with Lance Storm up at Wrestlecrap.com in their WrestleCrap Radio section. Still waiting for my wrestling orders. I picked up a CM Punk shirt, a memorial Eddie shirt, a Kennedy shirt and the Rise and Fall of ECW documentary DVD. From ROH, I got the Resilience shirt because it looks like a great shirt -- and I can wear it normally without people thinking that it may be a wrestling shirt. Anybody know if it is just general admission that is available for the June 23 ROH show? The card looks pretty good so far -- AmDrag v. KENTA, Briscoes v. Steen/Generico and Hero/Nigel. -

ACLU leader (former?) guilty of child porn

QUOTE(mr_genius @ May 26, 2007 -> 06:04 PM) meh, the media reports plenty of worthless stories. like some republican reverend is gay and it's 24-7 news. the media selects which news stories fit into there world view. president of the ACLU's Virginia chapter watches videos of kids getting raped? not news, doesn't fit into the ACLU = good view. Republican sends dirty email to intern? big news. Republican = evil, fits into their world view, thus it is deemed notable and important. Um, Clinton's cock much? That was news for over a year. It fits into the mold of profit driven, lack of journalistic muckraking integrity to report on easy, trite issues that may not have anything to do with policy but are salacious enough to get people to tune in/buy a paper/get hits on their site and keep their advertising money up. And he wasn't president for over two years before he was caught. So, he was a regular citizen that was a member of their organization. There's plenty of members of numerous organizations that have idiots, whackjobs and outright douchebags that previously worked for them. When they are no longer an employee, it should not look badly upon the former employer. -

QUOTE(mr_genius @ May 26, 2007 -> 05:33 PM) obviously you do Another pedophile is caught *yawn*. Wake me up when there is some zombies or ninjas. Perhaps some samurai might make this "Teh liberal communist media is keeping us in the dark about a now unemployed ACLU worker from 2002 who was also a kiddie diddler!" hullabaloo a bit more interesting. Plenty of people who worked for plenty of different jobs and organizations have been busted being pedos. Why is this one going to be different and warrant front page coverage on every news outlet? -

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ May 23, 2007 -> 09:47 PM) So this summer I decided that I would ldo some serious lifting. I know the basics, but what some good tips to get stronger? Good excersises? Supplements? I have heard about Whey protein, is it safe? Food choices? Give me some pointers here. I'm using Muscle Milk and GFPro in the morning, at lunch, after workouts and and at night (not both but one or the other) High protein foods -- try to for your desired weight in grams of protein. Do a lot to strengthen your core (abs, lower back, back muscles) and work with correct form and posture to maximize effects of exercises. Some good core exercises are single crunches, crunches on a ball, Supermans (laying stomach side down on the floor and using your lower back to pull your arms and legs off the ground)...Eat lots of calories (I try to get in 2800-3200 a day) because you are going to be using them with working out and building muscle. Always important to eat after workouts. Try eating smaller meals every few hours too.
