  1. That ball took like 3 seconds to get through the infield
  2. He has been +4 runs against fastballs this yeat.
  3. That‘s a bad way to look at things. The Tigers don‘t get blown out every day that‘s just not how baseball works. Major league teams sometimes lose against college teams in spring training.
  4. The Cabrera deal was stupid the moment it was signed. Granted Cabrera was much much better than Abreu, but it would be like giving Abreu an 8 year deal right now.
  5. Tim finally hitting the ball with authority again.
  6. Jace is his own worst enemy, Nobody can hit his curve, but his walks will prevent him from becoming anything more than an average middle reliever.
  7. You know I am not quick on blaming coaching, but don‘t they emphasize hitting to the opposite field with their young players like it‘s 1974?
  8. Vieira is probably the worst since Maikel Cleto when it comes to having no idea where the ball will end up.
  9. Eloy looks like he is trying to guide everything to RF, like deliberately as if he was told to do so. He looks pretty uncomfortable.
  10. First run was just bad luck. That was a hanger though
  11. Godley had success at the big league level and isn‘t even arb eligible yet though. Wouldn‘t mind taking a chance on him to maybe become a swingman/emergency SP
  12. The 6th innning is kinda misleading. He walked Harper, but got 2 groundballs that should have been fielded and gotten him out of the inning. Realmuto hit a double play ball, but Tim went towards 2B an instance before the pitch and couldn't readjust. The other one was ABreu being a statue again, as he couldn't field a grounder two steps to his right, despite playing behind the runnter at 1B. Third hit was just a run of the mill grounder up the middle. With a bit more luck or better defense, Lopez gives up one run.
  13. Three to be exact.. Finding a decent 1B will be difficult though, so I hope Abreu turns it around. Not holding my breath though.
  14. Nice strawman, I said he was below average, just not awful.
  15. I just don't think that awful is the right choice of words.
  16. Because the calculation of UZR isn't dependant on other players. The baseline of 0 means average.
  17. I don't disagree about the errors, but you know as well as I do that this is a flawed way to look at things, having a competent 1B would help for instance. Even if he ranks among the bottom of the league, he still grades out as slightly below average, what other shortstops are doing is irreleavant.
  18. Every metric disagrees with you, but you do you ?
  19. Anderson almost got Yolmer killed, bad feed. On the other hand Bummer is awesome, people can't square him up
  20. He gave up three singles on groundballs, two of which should have been fielded.
  21. That was two steps to his right, an average 1B doesn't have to dive for that ball
  22. Are you watching the game? He is giving up seeing eye grounders and is hurt by bad defense
  23. That should have been a double play, bad positioning by tim
