Goodwin has reverse splits, Eaton has been horrific against lefties, yet he is the one that stays in to face the lefty.

Grossman got a two year deal. I don’t like committing two years to a second division starter. Conforto is a pipe dream considering how the Sox operate, but he would be such an amazing fit, but let’s hope against hope that for some reason the Sox want to hand out a 6-7byear deal for him.

Every projection system has them as a .500 ish team. There is a reason every single projection system thinks the Sox even with all their injuries have by far the highest odds of winning their respective divisions. Cleveland is not that good.

Jimenez has never put up 2 WAR, is one of these classic caulfield takes only taking his rookie year into account where he missed some time. He was on pace for 5ish last year and even with his defense shortcomings he is easily a 4 WAR player.

Odd thing to complain about , when the starting SS, CF(and his backup), 2B the back up catcher and the utility infileder are all homegrown and saw significant time in the minor league system. Even most trade acquisitions spent a bunch of time in the system. Sox developed a decent amount of up the middle talent in recent years.

The Sox are one rotation injury away from an early 2000‘s fifth starter disaster. They need a swing man they can slot into the rotation if shit hits the fan IMO
