I would say Avi is worth a 100-150 prospect. And the Rockies have plenty of guys who can play 3b.

Maybe, but all those OFs are still a few years from playing. If the Rockies want to compete now I think theyd be more interested in Avi.

I know this isn't what the thread is about but I would like to trade Avi for a 3b prospect like Colton Welker with the Rockies. Then we can keep our prospects and add more.

What about Basabe, Gonzalez, or Walker

At the beginning of the season I would've said no... but he has put up a really strong season, even after his promotion. I think he has made himself into a real prospect.

I understand what you are saying but India is ranked 55 and Rutherford is 88. They are both 21 but Rutherford is playing (and succeeding) at a higher level. I get why India is ranked higher but is he really that much higher? If I am in their position I would consider Rutherford and Stephens, but it really comes down to how highly you value Rutherford.

I think Cease or Dunning alone would get us India... They are ranked around the same area, why would India be worth more?

What about Rutherford and an arm for India? Would we be willing to do that?

Rick Hahn has said theyve had discussions about prospect for prospect trades and would likely revisit them in the off season. so we are just discussing what could be a possibility...

Its because they have 3 3rd basemen and could use pitching and OF help. Apparently we have had talks with teams regarding prospect for prospect swaps. It seems their other 3b would require too much to get them so that leaves India.

People have said over and over there is a time limit on this rebuild and that everybody should lose their jobs if we aren't competing in a couple years. and as far as the big league product, this is a much better way of having a good big league product than what we were doing, but patience is key.
