Arizona Fall League - Running Thread - Opens 10/9
With Robert playing so well in the AFL does this affect whether he starts at A+ or AA?

No Coaching Changes?
Maybe this was talked about in the other thread... but isn't falling on your sword something you do to yourself? Like taking the blame so nobody else has to rather than blamed by somebody else? So the title of that thread would indicate somebody firing themselves...

Burdi removed from AFL "general fatigue"
Makes sense. They probably saw what they wanted to from him (reports have been good) and decided no to push him coming back from an injury.

A fair and balanced soliloquy about Jose Abreu, by ron
So you think the only way we can go from 30 to 50 is by getting rid of Abreu?

The Moncada / Madrigal Situation
I am all for positional flexibility. So leave him as your 2nd for now but also put him at 3rd and CF sometimes. Then it makes it easier to be flexible in the future. I would also be seeing about Madrigal in different places as well. See what he can do a SS and 3rd. then finding a place for these guys isn't nearly as hard, and if there is an injury it doesn't hurt as much.

Top White Sox Prospects by Position: Outfielders (The Besssss)
Haha you got #5 right. Sadly I was hoping Polo would turn into something...

Top White Sox Prospects by Position: Outfielders (The Besssss)
Definitely an exciting group! What would the rankings be as far as CF goes? I know Basabe and Rutherford have a chance at playing CF but who are the most likely to play there in the majors? It seems like Robert would be #1 but is that followed by Gonzales or would Basabe and Rutherford be ahead of him?

Top White Sox Prospects by Position: Second Basemen
I got to see the Voyagers a couple times this summer and one of those games Nunez was horrendous in the field playing 2b. Hopefully it was just one game where maybe he was distracted or not feeling well or something because it was bad. I think he only had 1 or 2 errors but there were more mistakes. 2 Pop ups between LF and 2b hit the ground with both players standing there, a couple of missed throws from the catcher on a stealing base runner, a throwing error to 1st... and that's just what I remember. He can definitely hit though. I hope it was just a bad day.

Top White Sox Prospects by Position: Second Basemen
It will be interesting to see where the infielders will be placed as far as low A and rookie ball. Do all the Great Falls infielders move to Kann? I'd assume Sosa and Nunez will but what about Bush? Kann will be the best place for Curbello but you still have Maiker Feliz and Ramon Beltre. I think we have a bit of a log jam for infield in low A

Where are you on the TINSTAAPP debate?
Wow I understand people here hate the cubs but come on. They went to 3 straight NLCS. I don't care if you think it should've been a sweep. They WON THE WORLD SERIES. That's the whole point. That's what we are trying to build up to. It takes luck and being good to win one. They did just luck into it. I would love it if we made it to the ALCS 3 years in a row and the playoff 4 years running.

2019 MLB draft thread
Wow he had almost as many HBP as strike outs. Its one thing to have more walks than strike outs but HBP that's impressive.

Where are you on the TINSTAAPP debate?
Really? They won a world series... How is there nothing impressive about that? I get you think its a strategy that not everybody can use but the won a world series with quite a few players they got through their rebuild. They also traded players from their rebuild to get more players to help them WIN A WORLD SERIES. Their rebuild worked and you should be impressed. Unless winning a world series isn't impressive to you...

White Sox will pick 3rd in 2019
Please leave at least one thread by itself in the futuresox forum. The prospect treads on the main board get people who don't follow the farm spouting off nonsense and makes it less about prospects. I like having threads where people who want to talk prospects and know more about the farm and prospects. I spend more time over there then over here during the rebuild.

2018 White Sox catch-all thread
Why to I have to hate the cubs? We only play them a few times a year. I don't deal with a bunch of annoying cubs fans. My baseball "hate" is for divisional rivals and the annoying fans I deal with... which are mostly yanks and bosox (there are a lot of mariners fans here but they have nothing to be annoying about).

2018 White Sox catch-all thread
Being from Montana I don't get so many peoples obsession with the cubs... What happens with them has zero effect on what I want for the us. They probably laugh at you for wanting their failure more than what is best for us.

FS: The case for the Sox adding a 7th US MiLB team
Helena MT is losing its rookie team. I wonder if it is close enough to the Northwest League to have a team here. It is only an hour away from Great Falls.

Moncada leading MLB in OOZ strike 3s
I completely disagree. I am all for getting calls right and making the game more fair. I think if a pitcher has to throw a strike to get a strike out it increases offense. But players will adjust, just as they have to with different umps different zones. They will have to figure it out and I think hitting increases. Batters wont get walks based on reputation and pitchers wont get strike outs based on reputation, which both walk and strike outs are considered a problem.

Brewers acquire Xavier Cedeno
Haha I would say id ask at the game tonight (I am hoping to get a ticket right next to the Voyagers bench) but I am way to shy to actually say something to anybody.

Brewers acquire Xavier Cedeno
So does anybody know if the players we rcvd will be just switching dugouts tonight? The Voyagers play the Helena Brewers in their last game of a 4 game series tonight.

8/29 Games
Nunez was a butcher at 2nd last night. The box score only has one E but it was bad. I was at the game. He had at least 4 bad fielding plays. But the team defense was atrocious all around...
