Sox in on Marcell Ozuna? I mean, maybe. Or not.
Castellanos BUT I don't think there's much of a difference to jump the gun early and pay top price.

Yeah both of those players I could see becoming the Keuchel of 2018 offseason.

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
This is what I find as the ideal move.. Probably Stiever, Walker +. Maybe have to use Dunnings instead of Steiver?

Yes, his contract is fine. The Cubs just don't want it since they want to shed. He is not a strictly salary dump.

Let's take on the Darvish contract for the Cubs.. We will also take Quintana too . The Cubs alone could realistically solve our SP issues.

Joc Pederson - Is it goin down?
yes he is injured far more.. This may mean we would need a better backup than with the other options.. But when he is playing he is far superior. I'm not even really advocating for it.. I just am not a fan of the other two really. Joc would be my preference

I'd rather have Pollack than Castellanos or Ozuna.

I would rather have Castellanos based on player alone.. The fact that Ozuna has a QO makes it an even larger gap... Unless we can somehow get him relatively cheap.

Gosh I would hate that trade.

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
This would be fine.

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
For one year?? Sure.. But Abreu's next 2 years will be full time DH.. Castellanos can not be a full time RF with Eloy in LF. Recipe for disaster

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
This to me appears to be the best track going forward (barring any major RF or SP tracks)... Minus the Castellanos. He has no role here anymore (Thanks Abreu....)

Sox in on MadBum
Yeah I'd agree. Did not know this.

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
I would love to bring in Taijuan Walker 1 year 5 million with incentives. Team option for 12 million. I'd rather see a Walker signing than a Bumgarner/Kuechel at 20 million per year.

Sox in on MadBum
In the second half of last year Darvish was probably a top 5 pitcher.. I'd love him. But right, what would he cost?

Sox in on MadBum
Couldn't disagree with this more.. But that's okay.

Sox in on MadBum
agreed... But we are just looking at all options... and there don't appear to be that many that are good SP that wouldn't require one of our top 4 prospects... I think we have to take on a rough contract (Sale, Darvish, Price, etc).

Sox in on MadBum
Honestly this is the scenario I keep pondering in my head... What would it take though. He isn't a straight salary dump by any means. Dunnings ++?

They should kick the Mets tired freaking hard.

Familia and Conforto for Dunning, Collins, + Who says no?

Sox in on Marcell Ozuna? I mean, maybe. Or not.
Conforto would be a dream. I'd be more thanfine with Nimmo though.

Sox in on MadBum
I have thought all night and day about where do we pivot and readjust now... No one on the market makes sense (except Strasburg, who we aren't after)... The only things that make sense is go heavy on hitters and create a mashing squad... ORRR call up the Cubs (Darvish) or Red Sox (Price or.... Sale).. Those appear to be the only reasonably aquireable SP that could actually help and wouldn't cost any of our top 4.

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
Price isn't worthless. I don't think they'll give you Benni for free essentially.
-
Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
I'd rather have Hamels for 1-18 than Bumgarner for 4 years -18 per
