Offseason 2019-2020 MLB Catch All Thread
Yeah but that still would be kinda a weird one to peg... What kind of contract would you feel comfortable at?

Sox in on Marcell Ozuna? I mean, maybe. Or not.
No chance

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
I'm not saying he still isn't a fine prospect.. But he will not be top 100 after the year he had.

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
Super bad K rates. Bad batted ball. .761 OPS. There are 100 better prospects in baseball.. I'd bet he falls out of top 100 for sure.

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
This is pre=update.. Madrigal will stay around 40. Chisholm will fall out of the top 100 post update.

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
This is a main reason why I would not even consider that. Never really high thought of. Many players come in hot and fizzle. I wouild just stay clear of losing a big prospect like Madrigal for a guy like that. We see it all the time.. I mean look what the Marlins traded him for in the middle of his debut.... Jazz Chisholm

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
which is interesting.. I would want nothing to do with Gallen at that price.

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
This is encouraging.. He was probably just commenting on the Collins, Vaugh and Stiever the guy asked.. So maybe no Cease/Madrigal too.. So maybe it's our second tier we are fine with moving?

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
Granted, I just don't want to trade any of our top prospects. I'd rather just sign Ryu or get wild and try Strasburg.

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
I like Snell a lot.. But he still makes me a tad nervous as a bust candidate. If you take out his massive year he's just been "fine". Not a Cease deal type guy.

Sox in on Marcell Ozuna? I mean, maybe. Or not.
me too.. He was right about Machado the entire time.. What is a hopefully Ozuna contract? 3 years 45 mill?

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
Option B is fine. I want no part of Option A

Sox in on Marcell Ozuna? I mean, maybe. Or not.
Castellanos BUT I don't think there's much of a difference to jump the gun early and pay top price.

Sox in on Marcell Ozuna? I mean, maybe. Or not.
Yeah both of those players I could see becoming the Keuchel of 2018 offseason.

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
This is what I find as the ideal move.. Probably Stiever, Walker +. Maybe have to use Dunnings instead of Steiver?

Sox in on Marcell Ozuna? I mean, maybe. Or not.
Yes, his contract is fine. The Cubs just don't want it since they want to shed. He is not a strictly salary dump.

Sox in on Marcell Ozuna? I mean, maybe. Or not.
Let's take on the Darvish contract for the Cubs.. We will also take Quintana too . The Cubs alone could realistically solve our SP issues.

Joc Pederson - Is it goin down?
yes he is injured far more.. This may mean we would need a better backup than with the other options.. But when he is playing he is far superior. I'm not even really advocating for it.. I just am not a fan of the other two really. Joc would be my preference

Joc Pederson - Is it goin down?
I'd rather have Pollack than Castellanos or Ozuna.

Sox in on Marcell Ozuna? I mean, maybe. Or not.
I would rather have Castellanos based on player alone.. The fact that Ozuna has a QO makes it an even larger gap... Unless we can somehow get him relatively cheap.

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
Gosh I would hate that trade.

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
This would be fine.

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
For one year?? Sure.. But Abreu's next 2 years will be full time DH.. Castellanos can not be a full time RF with Eloy in LF. Recipe for disaster

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
This to me appears to be the best track going forward (barring any major RF or SP tracks)... Minus the Castellanos. He has no role here anymore (Thanks Abreu....)
