Honestly though, it still doesnt validate how DA lumps a few peoples opinion to cover the span of the entire board population. He does this often. You just did it to but I am not going to make it seem like there are a bunch of posters that do that.

I wrote some which is accurate. You are taking that as lumping many. But that isn't what I wrote or meant.

Might go down a bit, but relief innings with all the warming up etc. are a bit more on the body. Chris Sale went from 71 innings to 192 between 2011 and 2012. Hopefully, Fulmer puts it together next season, and there is no reason to think he wouldn't be prepared to go 175.

Not sure that is correct. A starting pitcher will throw 45-50 pitches before he enters a game in the bullpen. A reliever will typically throw 8-12 pitches in the bullpen before he enters a game. Obviously a starter has more pitches in his arsenal than a reliever so it takes him longer. So in a typical game a reliever that gets up twice before he goes in doesn't throw half of what a starter does. Add to that the additional side sessions a starter does on off days compared to what a reliever does and a starter throws many more pitches in the course of a week than a reliever.

Maybe the guy's hurt or something. Got absolutely destroyed in his AAA start.

Something to be excited about...

Fulmer threw 5 perfect innings for the Knights on Sunday throwing 47 strikes out of 72 pitches, and struck out 5.

Maybe the Sox need to use him as a starter rather than a reliever out of the pen when he comes back to the majors.

He will definitely get some starts in September unless they shut him down before that .
