Benetti talking about the Easter bunny...for no reason...that was embarrassing. Almost as embarrassing as that base running blunder by Avisail

You are too sensitive scoot

Why does Anderson keep on hitting into double plays?

Melky double, Abreu RBI. Morneau RBI double. Now can Shields keep the lead?

Despite two homers allowed I think big game Shields looking good

Rich Hill perfect through 7. Puig layed out to save it just now.

Hill pulled with under 90 pitches. LAME.

Lol wtf? That's some real candy ass managing to do that.

Edit: And the reliever blew the perfect game with 2 out in the 8th hahaha

I'm all in on Saladino at 2B next season. He's just a smart, sound MLB player and the Sox shouldn't waste him letting him rot on the bench as utility next year.

2B was never the issue. Saladino and Lawrie are pretty much interchangeable. Neither will get us major league ready talent to fill other holes if traded unless packaged with someone like Fulmer +

What you said is correct but I never said 2B was an issue, just said I think we found our 2B for the near future. Lawrie isn't going to net much or help us either being out 1/3 of the season like he is every year.

Over an entire season I don't see him as being an upgrade over Lawrie yet. But he is a nice player to have. It's really too bad he can't play the outfield to be used as a super sub kind of like Jurickson Profar.

Why is Ventura managing all of a sudden like it's the 7th game in the World Series?

Should never have put Beck with two balls in the count on that pitchout when he's got more walks than K's...and just starting to pitch with a little bit more confidence.

Where is Purke? We could use a second lefty, just to keep from burning out Jennings for next year.

Give Ynoa and Minaya some of these opportunities. Beck is bad

Could have had a DP, but Anderson did well just to stop that ball at 110 mph...got knocked into LF.

One of the first times all season Herrera has pitched the 7th. Soria in the doghouse.

Sox are too dumb to play Saladino regularly. Anybody with half a brain can see he is an everyday player and a fricking stud. He plays the game the right way, always encouraging teammates, bashing the f***ing baseball all over the park.

Get rid of Lawrie now!!! Saladino is the man; Lawrie is NOT!

Again ... Sox are too stupid to play Saladino. It's their loss.

Greg, he's a 746 career ops guy in the minors and still just 663 for the Sox.

He could be a 725ish guy (like now, playing against the most favorable matchups) but it's a crapshoot. Anderson does seem to play well with him, but I wouldn't depend on him and then envision that as a playoff team.

He's perfectly suited as a super-utility player on a much better team.

Blake Smith 50th player used this season, and 27th player to make Sox debut this season.

Fun fact: before Kevan Smith and Blake Smith, the Sox haven't had a Smith on the team in 52 years. Charley Smith in 1964.

At his level that is impossible.

It would be a kneejerk reaction. If someone got injured in the IF, I would trust Saladino playing all of the positions. It also makes it possible for Abreau to DH more. Saladino could be more valuable as a utility guy. Anyone gets hurt on this team it get filled with JB Shucks.

Davis was fine with walking Abreu there and taking his chances... but then Abreu did what he did

Abreu should have taken rhevwalj or at least made Davis get the ball up

I blame this loss on Ventura only because it's convenient. He can't manage this team past a 3 game winning streak.

I don't recommend trading either. But Saladino would be so much more valuable if he could play OF as well to rotate positions to give guys days off and play matchups. Would be great injury insurance as well like you said.
