3/17 White Sox vs. Cubs

Featured Replies

Sox have all the regulars in the lineup with Danny Hayes the DH. Bottom of 2nd Anderson singles but caught stealing. Saladino triples and Geo Soto singles to drive him in. !-0 .

Sox base running seems to be very bad so far this spring

Pinning since it's a rare televised game.

Schwarber 3 run HR off Holland.

Hearing Bo talk about the manager situation, it's ridiculous Robin was given as much time as he was

What did he say?

Tyler Saladino reminds me of a young Joe Crede

Hawk and Stone are both praising Joe Maddon for stacking his lineup with the best hitters at the top. Meanwhile, they were both mocking the Blue Jays for batting Jose Bautista 2nd a few years ago.

edit - Found a link referencing the Bautista incident. http://www.southsidesox.com/2013/6/12/4421...uction-for-hawk

Not that young. He'll be 28 this summer.

Really, did not know that. Thought he was still like 24 or 25

Kopech in.

Kopech

Dan Hayes reporting he's around 100-102 mph.

Strikes out the side. 5ks 36 pitches.

Kopech might have the best stuff I've ever seen from a starting pitcher prospect

Delmonico just jacked one! He's going to have a role on this team at some point this season.

Has Kopech added a CB to his arsenal? That third strike out looked to be on a 12-6 hammer. Pretty wicked pitch.

That was definitely his slider.

He's working on a change and curve. Coop like's his starters to have 4 pitches. Not sure if a 2 seamer and 4 seamer count as 2 pitches, so fast ball , slider, curve, change .

That's what I thought. Pretty sure I read something recently that Kopech was working on a CB. The third strikeout looked like a 12-6 hammer and not a Slider. If he can harness a four pitch mix, man is he going to be nasty. Kopech's potential reminds me of a few other Texans, Josh Beckett and Kerry Wood.

Or that other famous Texan Nolan Ryan if Kopech can harness the curve. We can dream.

I am more excited about Kopech than any other prospect we have
