I know this is sarcasm, but I love the fact that he seems to be getting better as spring training is going on. even with less garbage pitchers in camps that he is seeing.

All in the family game notes. Torii Hunter Jr. pinch ran, played CF and got a few AB's for the Angels though he has never played a minor league game. He struck out twice on breaking balls once corkscrewing himself to the ground while also gift wrapping Moncada's 1st double . Moncada hit it decent enough but Hunter, Jr. failed to read the warning track and let it go over his head. The sun and high sky don't help in AZ.and even Trout didn't look all that good on the nearly 420 foot drive by Davidson earlier in the game that went for a triple.

 

Jake Dunning, brother of Dane Dunning, whom the Sox signed recently , pitched an inning and gave up a run.

 

Matt Cooper of the Dash and nephew of Don Cooper ( nah I made that up) also pitched and gave up a run in an inning.

Spring training . The Diamondbacks looked great last year in ST then the season came and they reeked.
