Need Jones, Putnam and Petricka back before the bullpen burns out...but only thing to do is enjoy it for now.

Where are you going to put them? Nobody in the pen is pitching poorly, although I'm sure they can find room for Jones and probably Putnam.

To keep the pen from burning out, the starters need to pitch longer.

Well counting guys on the DL, you can Covey, Infante and Holmberg to begin with.

Anytime you can get a win with a fill-in pitcher starting the game because there is no one else available is a good thing. It doesn't happen very often.

I have a feeling Ynoa is staying around as long as possible due to his connection with Luis Robert and their mutual trainer/agent/buscone Edgar Mercedes.

 

Minaya is the other to have come up, if I am remembering correctly.

Great win. Crowd loved it. I was wondering about Renteria, though. Look ... obviously his philosophy is bunting is good. With that in mind, should the Sox cut their losses now and dump him?? It's ridiculous to try bunts like this. MLB players CANNOT bunt, first of all. Second of all it's proven bunting costs you runs. So if he's gonna bunt, doesn't he have to be punted out of the organization ASAP??

He's been great aside from the bunting, but this is a huge issue moving forward. Bunting has jumped the shark. Anybody who believes in the bunt deserves the punt.

Greg, his "bunting" has led to the 7th best runs scored/runs allowed differential in all of baseball...and a better record (percentage-wise) than the 2016 team with Sale, Eaton and Nate Jones recorded.

 

As it stands today, we'd have the 13th pick in the 2018 draft.
