I think Holland you'll be able to do that with, at least as a 6th starter/mop up/3rd lefty out of the pen to a contender.

July 21, 20178 yr Shields clearly has little left as a starter. Does he have any ability to close? As a guy with a big game reputation, it seems that he'd be able to handle the pressure. Does he have the stuff to close? I think I'd give it a try.

July 24, 20178 yr These guys have all gone to s*** at exactly the wrong time. We might be stuck with all of them. If they were free agents at minimum salary, I am still not sure anyone would pick them up. Edit: Except for Miguel Gonzalez.
July 24, 20178 yr DJ Carassco former White Sox reliever, is now a Dodgers scout. He came to Wrigley today to see Gonzalez.
July 27, 20178 yr Gonzalez has given up two runs in 13.1 innings against two highly likely playoff teams. He gets a third this weekend with Cleveland. I think if he can throw another great game, he is going to be sought after by more than one team before Monday afternoon.
