Sox have been shafted by CBA picks for ages now. No other sport grants certain teams extra draft picks and pool money every year like mlb does, regardless of record.

Every other sport has a cap, as well.

Sox play in a big market but really should be treated as small-market.

 

Also, wow Royals could have like 5 picks in the first ~40 (that is, if the Homser, Mous and Cain sign for over $50 mill).
